Hi bees! I am in the proccess of desiging my save the dates so I can transfer them onto our “vintage” hankies. There are a couple things I need help with…
1. The font of the STD. Do they look ok? Should our names be a more…swirly font?
2. The picture. Do you like the sand dollar or the palm tree? Should I do a mix of both?
Keep in mind that both of these designs are pretty “plain” because they are going on fairly decorative hankies.
Thanks for the help bees, I am definitely not a designer by any means so I really appreciate any input! 😀
These are the hankies I am going to be using.

I really like the main font. I think that you may be able to find a better font for your names. They don’t necessarily have to be more “swirly,” but, I don’t know… something just seems a little off to me. Maybe you could find a more vintage looking font? Like handwriting? I feel that the font you used is very modern.
I really like the palm trees. There is nothing wrong with the sand dollars, I just like the trees better.
ETA: Did you try using all lowercase letters in your name to contrast the caps of the main font?

I agree, that font seems very modern compared to the vintage hankie.
How are you putting the design on the hankie? Have you tested either of these designs to see how well they will show up on a busy fabric? How well does the font transfer? Some thinner fonts might not transfer as well.

I like the sand dollar one, but I might be biased since I used sand dollars in my paper goods too!
I also agree that something seems off with the font, but I wouldn’t go more ‘swirly’. A more swirly font might not show up as nicely since they tend to not be as bold. Cute idea BTW!

I would change the font too, to something more vintage looking. I prefer the palm tree over the sand dollar.

omg, I bought those hankies too! I am using mine for our centerpieces. Anyhoo, I would recommend you check out dafont.com and look at their retro fonts. I’m sure you could find something there that would work and most of them are free!
