I’m making my sister’s save the date cards and shower invitations. We decided to make postcards for both of the announcements, but I’m not sure what cardstock weight to use? Has anyone else made STD postcards or shower postcards using cardstock? If so, what weight did you use?

We arent put they shouldnt weigh that much

Use a heavier weight paper… since they’ll be going through the machines, anything light will probably get a little worse for the wear! Don’t know the exact numbers though, sorry 🙁

Sorry I didn’t catch this sooner ~ 80lb coverstock is a great standard weight cardstock to use and most printers can handle it. Be careful printing laser if you intend to send as postcards ~ they will smudge really easily (I’m sure you have received a postcard with the black marks across it). 110 and above is awesome, but not all home printers can handle it.
Best wishes. If you have any other questions, just let me know.
