    Hi Bees!

I am hoping to send my STDs out soon, but have a few questions for you all.

    1) I am having an out-of-town wedding for most people. Is it necessary to include hotel and travel info at this point? Or is it ok to leave that for the invitations?

    2) Would it look tacky to address the envelopes by hand with a ball point pen? Or do most people do something fancier? And if so, what do you do?

    Thank you! :)

I am also having an out of town wedding and we set up a website with hotel info on there.  With our dave the dates, which we need to send out ASAP will will put the web address on there and they can browse around.  If you did that, you could always say, more information to come regarding the accomodations and then they could always check back if you don't have the hotel set up yet.

I think some people use a caligropher (sp?) however I plan on just writing them out with a nice ink pen.  People think my handwriting is good, so I just thought that would be easiest.  You could always get a pack of labels and then print them out instead?

I just finished my STD's and they are headed out tomorrow!  So exciting - even though I'm a little late.

    1.  On the back of my STD, we included our wedding website address.  But I'm also including the hotel information in the invitation as well.

    2.  I had a team of people helping address them (250) by hand with a nice pen.  I'm holding off on the calligraphy until the invitations.

I added our hotel info to ours only because its such a big trip for eveyone (traveling to ARUBA!) and we also reminded them about passports.  But its really not necessary until the formal invite.

An easier idea for addressing your envelopes is to use Avery clear address labels.  Their cheap and you can just upload the template on line and type in the addresses and print.  It'll look pretty and save your hand from hurting!!

I like the idea of including the address for your wedding website and letting your guests explore from there.  I will also be having mostly OOT guests and that's what I plan on doing.  And there is nothing wrong with addressing the envelopes yourself - go for it! :)

Not sure what I'm going to do about hotel information.  I'll probably stick in a little informational sheet for people that I suspect will be staying.

As for addressing the envelopes, I'm doing printed labels!
