i think you'll be ok. do they say "save the date" anywhere on them? if so then your guests will know that it is the save the date and not the actual invitation. since you've got all of your other wedding info included i wouldn't worry about it.
I think it's fine - some people may think that it's the actual invitation, but they won't be upset when they receive the actual invitation later (I put the line on there about formal invite to follow, and I still had friends telling me they liked my std!) I wouldn't worry about it - if it comes up just tell them there is another one coming!
As long as it says Save the Date on it, I think you are fine!

I've seen a lot of save-the-dates without that verbage, so I think you'll be fine. Especially if it actually says "Save the Date" on it. Those are so standard now, people probably know the drill.

It'll be fine! We did put "formal invitation to follow," and still had a lot of people think it was our actual invitation... they'll get it when the invitation comes!
Thanks girls. I actually just did a second post with the proofs of them so you can see them. I'm feeling more confident that guests will realize these are not the invites.

So I ordered my STD's a few days ago and this morning I realized I forgot to add 'formal invitation to follow!' Is this really that terrible? The STD is a postcard and on the back it includes our website info as well as hotel group rates, so I have a lot of info on there... just not those words. Someone tell me this is ok? Please?
