When is a good time to send out save the dates.
I got magnet ones from vista print and i had a really good coupon that expired soon, so i ordered them.
Now i have them at home sitting in a box and Im dying over them just sitting there. some family members are coming from NY and I live in NH. Others live 3 hours away into Maine
Then i do have a lot of others that are local as well.

We are sending ours out in January for our August wedding. I know that is early, but many people coming to our wedding will have to fly. If we had more local people, I would do more like 5 to 6 months.

I think 6-8 months is best.
Many people plan summer vacations so Bees that are having their wedding during the summer months should probably send out the STD’s around 8 months so that guests can plan accordingly.
I sent out STD’s around the 7th month mark. The only thing I regret is that I sent out cards to people that in the end I really did not want to invite to the wedding. I invited them anyway because of the STD. My feeling is, is that so much can change with friends in 7 months and some of the people we invited I really do not plan on seeing after the wedding. It is not really related to any sort of drama, I just do not feel that connected to these people anymore.
My advice, 7-8 months before but really think before you send…….. 🙂

I would say if you’re having a wedding where guests are having to travel, about 8-9 months. More local guests, 6 months.

I voted 9 months, especially in regards to out of town guests.

4-6 months is a good time frame. If you had significasnt travel (meaning, flights are involved), I’d say send them earlier. But since you don’t, there’s no need to send them earlier than 6 months.
