I am not hand writing 20 out so I was looking on getting return adress labels or getting them all handwritten in metallic ink. But cannot find any one to do this! I have about 20-21 I need done and do not want to spend alot on these. If I do get return address labels, will it look tacky if the guests names are hand written say by a friend with nice handwriting?

I wrote out my own. I think as long as you handwrite them neatly it will be fine. I dont think people will really notice that much.

Depending on your guests, they may or may not notice. When the time comes, I’m going to go with a calligrapher. Best of luck!!

I handwrote all of mine. I don’t have beautiful/elegant handwriting, but it is neat and legible. I figured the envelopes end up in the trash anyway, so I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on a calligrapher.

Very true… So I just tried to write on 1 of my STD samples and it is too hard/bumpy. I got snowflake glitter save the dates and am worried a calligrapher will be able to. I mean I can write on it but it looks funny… I think maybe getting a stamp could work? I think just a return address label would be fine. They are cheap too! I will def.get something nice for the invitations:)
Sample of my STD by the way
It feels a bit softer than sandpaper.

I’m planning on using clear address labels in the calligraphy font.

Neither. I simply tossed them in with the Christmas cards we sent out and hand addressed the cards.

@KT808: I did the same thing, except I used Xmas labels.

I found a calligraphy font on DaFont.com and printed from my computer straight onto the envelopes. It looked like real calligraphy!

i do my own calligraphy, however for the Save-The-Date Cards i will be using labels and handwriting all my invites.. STD’s are xmas themed so i want xmasy stickers

Clear address labels! Great idea 🙂

I asked my mothers to calligraph it. You can just get a fancy metallic pen and write it neatly in print or cursive yourself (or if you have hopeless handwriting like me ask an anal friend to do it)

20 isn’t a lot to handwrite. I wrote out about 75-80 Save-The-Date Cards by myself and it took about an hour.

Neither, I handwrote my own.

@KatieLu: Good idea! Can you share where you got them please?:)
