Honestly, it depends entirely on what the dress is made out of. Does it have beading. Some dresses can actually get stained if the steamer shoots out a birst of water. Do yourself a favor and take it to a professional. Then you won't be sorry.
I steamed mine but I made sure to shake out the hose in between passes so it wouldn't spritz my dress.

This thought had not even crossed my mind till the other night when i did a trial run and tried my dress on.
My dress has some bad wrinkling in the bottom area... I am not sure if a steamer will take it out...my mom has a small handheld steamer I wonder if that will take it out?
Is it safer to steam?
Is anyone pressing theirs? How much does this cost and is it safe? what exactly do they do?
