Anyone steam their wedding dress?
I picked up my dress on theirsday, and I ca’t keep it at my home because I have a chocolate lab who drools and sheds. Would make for a nasty wedding dress!
So I brought it to my FSIL’s house, but she doesnt have a ton of space to lay out my huge dress for a whole week. A couple days before I can go over and take out the train, but I was thinking since it was in the bag for a week it might still have a few wrinkles. I have a steamer, but will steaming it ruin it? I’m afraid it will get watrer spots or something – I’bve never steamed anything before. any ideas what I should do? Should I just take it back home, fan it out, and pray my dog stays away? thoughts???

Well Im not sure about all the lace and beading because all fabrics are differe,t. but when i was a BM, i steamed the rides dress (long story) and i had never steamed anything before and it came out great! Id practice on something else before i do the dress if i had a second chance at things…

I steam everything. I picked up a steamer before a friends wedding earlier this year and it worked amazingly. Target – $70. Best $70 I have spent. We used it on her dress, table cloths, bridesmaids, etc…..I have never used one before and it was easy.
