Weddingbee boards
Hello all. I just wanted to share that I'll be stepping down as an admin on the Weddingbee boards this week.
It's been a long road! My brother and I built these boards with our bare hands, oh so many years ago (almost four!!). Haha ok, maybe we used a keyboard and a mouse - but these days, that's like your bare hands, right?
There have been so many little tweaks along the years: avatars, post counts, bee levels, leaderboards, polls, picture uploads and so much more! And all the kerfuffles along the way: does anyone else remember the controversy around the waiting and baby boards and the decision to split the boards into Wedding Related/NWR/Nesting sections?
Anyway it's been an honor and a privilege to help build and administrate these boards. I'd like to offer a sincere and deep "THANK YOU!!!" to the amazing Hostess and Moderators team who keep the hive humming and spam-free. I had previously posted about stepping down from the hive, but then circumstances intervened and I got sucked back in. Since then we've built out an amazing team of Hostesses and Moderators, and I have full confidence that the team will keep things on track. You guys have been amazingly generous with your time over the years, and I am so grateful!!
Also, I'd like to thank the members of the hive (past and present!) for making the boards an amazing place. And also, for welcoming this male bee (drone?) into your midst. Drones mate with a queen and then soon die. That sounds like an apt description of parenthood - man, is it ever hard! But it's so rewarding and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
It's a big internet out there, and I'm sure I'll see you guys on some of the other sites that Mrs. Bee and I will start over the coming years. In the meantime, I'll leave you with this picture of Mr. Charlie Bee from last December. He's reach reach reaching for that door handle, and finally gets it open. Who knows what is on the other side?

A big thank you Mr. Bee! When this 50 year old bride had no one to help with wedding planning, Weddingbee was there for me! The support I got was priceless!

Oh Mr.Bee you will be so greatly missed!!! I can't believe your leaving, but good luck on your new ventures and please stop by every once in a while. You've done an amazing job with the Bee boards and I certainly will miss your updates and comments.

Woah. I'm stunned. I don't know what to say. First of all, thank you. Thanks to you, your brother, and Mrs Bee for building this amazing little world for us that's safe, nurturing, and loving. It's truly a unique place that I treasure. Second, I will miss you. You are wonderful, funny, witty, wise, and always an immense pleasure to speak to. I think I can speak for everyone when I say your leaving is a loss to the site. With that being said, I can't thank you enough for the opportunity of being a hostess here, and for creating such an awesome mod team to guide us through the rough patches. All your love, sweat, and tears certainly shows and I think you've left WB in good hands :)
I don't want to say goodbye. Please come back and visit us, we'll all miss you.

I am speechless! Cannot believe you're leaving, but then again, you are all so creative and amazing.
You are all so wonderful and special and have created a warm, inviting community for all of us to come, all of us who treasure love in our lives and celebrate that love!
Whatever future endeavor you and Mrs. Bee (and brother) take on, I know it will bee a success! You have made this site what it is today and we will all miss you so so much.
Charlie is adorable! I love those photos of the handsome lil' guy! I agree, the future behind that door is going to be truly amazing for you!

This is so sad! Even though you're, you know, a guy, I feel like you're one of us! This is a bittersweet farewell. Hopefully you'll still come by, say hi, and share more of that adorable baby of yours! :)
mr. bee! thank you so much for all the hard work you've put into the site with all the the upgrades. i remember when this blog was on xanga and now look at it. you and mrs. bee should be very, very proud of what you have created. i wish you the best in the future!

I am so thankful to you, the hostesses and mods for making this an amazing community. In a world that is full of negitivity, you guys make this place as close to rainbows and unicorns as possible and I love you for it. I'm sad you're leaving us but I wish you the best in your future endeavours. I always enjoyed your wit and sense of humor that came through in your posts. The way you managed the boards and kept it sane, safe and kind was one of the main reasons I stayed here as long as I did. We're going to miss you.

Mr. Bee as soon as I learned that the hard work you do here goes entirely uncompensated, I was frankly, appalled, on your behalf. This site is a business, to which you have contributed immensely, and for you to be relied upon to maintain it without receiving anything but virtual pats on the back in return is just unfair. I applaud you for making the decision to take your skills, time, energy and contageously uplifting spirit elsewhere, where it will hopefully be more beneficial for you and your precious family!
Thank you for the times in which you have personally offered me your heartfelt advice and support while I was in the "waiting" stage, as well as the countless times you have offered your support for the rest of us in this community in all our various stages of wedding-dom. It was so valuable and is so appreciated. And your legacy of "The Plan" over there on the waiting board is sure to live on long past we have said our goodbyes! Thanks again for everything. Wishing you nothing but the best!

Oh I had no idea, so sad! i really enjoyed your posts and comments from time to time. You have done a wonderful job with the site and always intervening at the right moments when it was needed most.
And I thank you so deeply for creating weddingbee. It changed my entire experience of wedding planning for the better :)
