Why would you be worried that she will be the only one that is visibly tattooed? I don’t think it’s an issue at all.

If she wears her hair down, you probably won’t even see most of them? If you haven’t already picked your dresses, you could always find her a dress that covers most of it up. (illusion neckline maybe?)

mrsdevries:  you shouldn’t be worried at all, considering that’s the way she looks (and you said yourself she’s gorgeous). she will look like her gorgeous self, in a BM dress, in your pictures. the end?

Since one of my tattoos will show in my dress, it never really occurred to me to care if my ladies have any ink. Well, maybe the 10 year old, since that would be a horrible idea, but the others are adults who can decide if they’d like tattoos or not.

mrsdevries:  Would she look like herself without the tattoos? I assume the answer is no since they are a statement of who she is, and I would think you’d want your friend to be comfortable and who she is the day of your wedding since you love and respect her. I did have my MOH cover any tattos because they are part of who she is.

I totally understand wanting a certain aesthetic for your pictures, but I assume you’re asking people because you love them and not for how they look. My number one priority for bridal party pics is to have them full of people I love. What they look like that day is far down the list.

Since my family are either not tattooed at all or are heavily tattooed, I am cool with however people look in photos. They’ll just look like the same people you love, and tattoos are more and more common.

I would normally say not to worry about someone else’s tattoos, but I think her tattoos are all in places that would be covered by a dress with small cap sleeves. They should be pretty easy to work around. Just don’t get a strapless dress and you’ll be fine.

mrsdevries:  One of my BM’s has a tattoo on her inner forearm.  It will show in the photos.  But she’s had it for as long as I’ve known her and its part of who she is.  It never occured to me to try to cover it up.

most of our wedding party (including FI and myself) are tattooed.  we are getting married in jamaica on the beach, so (much to the dismay of many lol) it will be impossible to cover them.  i actually think it will look great for our wedding, so i’m really happy about it!

that said, i completely understand why not everyone wants to see tattoos on their wedding day, but it sounds to me like the majority of your BM’s are on her back?  but i mean, aside from throwing a cardi on the girl, i don’t think you’re going to get around seeing the ones on her shoulders??

Yikes. Honestly when I see pictures of people who have tattoos that is the only thing I see unfortantely. I see all these weddings photos and am like “wow, that’d be a great photo if this ink wasn’t everywhere” sad but true. I’ve yet to see a tasteful photo with tattoos. I’m glad I didn’t have to deal with that with my girls. Does she have any tattoos from the front? I’d only do front photos with the girls and ask the photographer if she can photoshop them out if they are visible.
