I’m approaching my one-year anniversary and still haven’t gotten my wedding album. I have digital negatives, so I’ve had the pictures themselves for a long time, but I still certainly want my album. I e-mailed the photographer two months ago just as a reminder and she said it would be ready in a week. Never heard from her after that. E-mailed her again last week and haven’t heard from her. It’s especially frustrating because I don’t want to make her angry, and then have her not do a good job on my album. Just out of curiosity, I was wondering when everyone else received their albums. Maybe long delays are typical?

What does your contract say? Most pro photogs will have the general turnaround times in their contract.
And i definitely agree, call her.

A year is an excessive amount of time, if she’s not returning your emails there is a problem. Once I complete an album and it’s proofed by the client it takes 3 weeks for the company I use to make the album, a week for shipping, possibly another week before I get it to the client. 2-5 months after the wedding TOPS.

Oh that’s messed up. We had the same problems with our photographer and it took six months to get mine back and I felt that was exessive=(
*sad i had to click 6-9 months*
Seriously though, i just made an album for a client. I did it in ONE evening. I’ll have it by the end of the week =(

Definitely call. If you can’t get hold of her that way, I’d say pay a little visit to her studio.
