Yes! 6 months for us, 5 years together, and better than ever! Marriage has made the relationship stronger and more special....
I totally agree with the above! Now that we're married, I know I love him when he does something insane and I still think, ah, but he's mine- all mine.
I agree, I really loved him when we were engaged, but now, I feel such immense love that it just feels so wonderful!!!!
I'm at the 6 month mark And I love him more now then I did then ( Isnt that weird) Getting married changed things... for the better :)
Ok, it's only been 4 weeks for me so maybe I'm still in the honeymoon phase? But I'd say, Hells ya! And I don't know how to describe it, but it's a different kind of love than the pre-wedding love.
It has been 2 months and 1 day and we are more in love then ever!!
5 and a half years...planning to renew our vows in about 18 months. Love him more everyday...sometimes less than our wedding day, but always more than the day before. He's amazing! The best part about marriage is that you don't have to be perfect and you have a "real" life. It's not always perfect, but it's fantastic and something I wouldn't ever change.
I think it's totally cheesy for me to say this, but I think we love each other way more passionately each day. I feel like our love is more selfless, more focused, mature and deeper. I never understood when people say you can love someone more, but I am totally getting that now! Small joys are the best joys =)
I think our love is better now because there is no going back. Before if something went wront we had a failsafe, we could break things off and just say "it didn't work out." Now, we can't do that. The commitment is deeper and I love it that way.
We have been together for close to 6 years and without a doubt still in love! Maybe it's still the newlywed in me (we hit 3 months today), but I love him more than I could ever explain. I am just filled with so much pride to be his wife. ![]()
Anyone else want to hear Mr. Bee's answer to his own question?
Was gonna say a big yes, but Mr. Peng got some weird rash today and frankly I'm totally grossed out. Love is dwindling at the moment.
Just kidding. Totally in love. Bubonic plague type rash and all.
I asked Mr. Peng if we were still in love and he said, "Sure."
In his toast to us at our wedding, my Dad told us that his wish for us was that we would look back at our wedding day as the day we loved each other the least. After only 3 months of marriage, I am happy to say we love each other more every day!
Absolutely - We've been together for 9 years and just got married in October. So our first year married is our 10th year together... I can honestly say that we're more happy with each passing year. When you grow with someone, even in the worst moments you love them... like when they call in sick, but aren't and don't even do the laundry like you asked :)
It's been 1 yr and half married, 6 years together. We're happier now than ever! It amazes me each day.
1 year and 2 months later, and more in love than ever! It's funny how the love changes and deepens. Trival things become more... trivial. And, we cherish each other more too.
But, I do wonder what it'll be like if/when kids (especially multiple kids) enter the picture. :-)
My grandparents have been married for 66 years. And my grandmother told me over Thanksgiving that she loves Grandpa at this point more than at any other point in the past 66 years. (Say it with me: awwwww!)
She said each phase of your marriage will make you appreciate each other for different reasons. But now that they're in their 80s and both have health problems, they have taken turns relying completely on one another to make it through rough spells. After a literal lifetime together, she said, this new level of service to one another still has the capacity to surprise and delight.
When we were dating I would look back at our relationship and be incredibly amazed at how much our love had grown and changed over the course of three years. Now that we are married and having a baby, I still find myself continually amazed that I could possibly have even more of a capacity to love someone than the day I married them. Something tells me it just keeps getting better and better and bigger and bigger.
I just found this board and I love this post!
Just a few days over 3 months and definitely more in love than ever! I had a married friend tell me that the incredible joy on the wedding day is just the beginning and things just get better...I couldn't imagine it at the time, but her words were so true! I also had some friends "warn" me not to be surprised to find myself disappointed after the wedding and find that being a newlywed is overrated...I'm happy to say I haven't experienced this :)
4 months, 3 weeks, 1 day -- and more in love than I could imagine! It is different than before in that there is this new ability to just "be" and to be more accepting. It is wonderful!
@eggplant:
Watching my husband with our daughter has made me love him at least 10x more than before we had her. I think you'll be surprised.
Like Tulip I have a tough act to follow.
My grandparents will be celebrating in August of this year their 70th wedding anniversary. And there are phases of each relationship. Now they still love each other, hold hands, and although my grandma's not in perfect health, he's attentive and loving and takes wonderful care of her.
We're just at our one year and three day mark and soon to be engaged. But we're happier and more in love than ever before. I am hoping to wed on their anniversary btw and throw them at the reception a surprise party complete with their own cake!
