Have you looked at just normal dresses. Not dresses branded as bridesmaid dresses, but nice party/ going out dresses from a department store? That’s what my girls an dI are going to be doing for their dreses- firstly they are cheaper, and secondly there is way more chance they will find something they wish to wear again in the future.

I agree with thatelisagirl.  My Maid/Matron of Honor found a really cute black and white dress at White House Black Market.  Everyone ordered/bought their size, and it only took a couple of days for everyone to have their dress.  They’re totally rewearable, they fit true to street size, and they ended up being on sale for $89!

Try Nordstrom, White House Black Market, Cache, or JCrew online… they have some awesome bridesmaid choices as well.

I agree, I’d go to every store that sells nice dresses and see what we could find.  How many BM’s do you have?  You could be really successful at a place like Macy’s.  Or even J.Crew.  Also, if you stick with a department store or any regular retail store, you’ll still have time to order them a dress in their size.

You can also get custom dresses on etsy with a really short turnaround time – find a dress you like, contact the seller, and see if they’ll make a set for your bridesmaids – you can probably even alter the design somewhat. Also, try bluefly for designer dresses on sale.

I agree with going to a department store to look for your dresses.

This is where you start getting more flexible. 😉 Maybe pick a color and let the girls get the dress of their choice? It will at least take the pressure off of you to choose something.

A friend of mine found a tailor who would make custom Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses for about $150/girl.  If that’s within your price range maybe you could find a seamstress or tailor who would be willing to make whatever dress you want!

If you can find something you like in davids bridal you can still have it in time for the wedding.

I am getting married on march 20 and my 5 bridesmaids and two flower girls didnt order their dresses until two weeks ago.

I got the flower girl dresses today, and the bridesmaid dresses should be here next week!

I just took a quick look at their website…they have some good options.  I hope you find something you like.

Good Luck!

you should take them all to nordstrom and get them the same dress from there or do it online. Also, while you are in the store if you cannot find a dress for one of your bms bc of size they will search the country and ship it to within a week…

I agree with some of the ladies above. If you are buying new, I would definitely look at J Crew bridesmaids. They seem to be really popular and are totally darling! They might get kinda pricey, but my sister had one and it is very nicely made and still in perfect condition! I am also a big fan of White House Black Market, I can always find something there. They both have sizing charts online too, to help your girls order online!

Good luck!
