I’m not a fan of either. I don’t like ruffles or the weird mummy/wrappy/foldy look.

I don’t know that a trumpet gown is the best choice for someone who is 5’2″ (unless you’re wearing monster heels).  Those dresses are designed for someone who is 5’10” tall, so the part where the skirt is going to flare out is going to hit really low on you.  I would recommend a narrow a-line skirt.  I think that will be the most flattering.  Allure has several, as do most designers.  Good luck!

Do you have pics of you in the dresses? It’s hard to tell on models which would look better on you/your figure/ your style !

I say the first one but then I’m biased because its very similar to my dress (mine by Ronald Joyce but I prefer this one but didn’t know it existed! gah!)

I’m only 5ft tall, but I am wearing killer heels but I’m still going to need some of the hem chopped off. No amount of heel-age is going to make me tall enough for any dress! 🙂

With an hourglass body shape a mermaid style is going to look fabulous on you!

I’m only  5.4″ and I’m wearing a fit and flair trumpet. It made me look a lot taller then all the other styles I tried. I love the first dress 🙂

Will you even be able to walk in the first dress? It’s just so tight.

I voted for 8809. I think the asymmetrical rouching will be really flattering

TBH I’m not a fan of either, however I think dress 1 will be more flattering:))

The straight across pleating on dress 2 isn’t as flattering:(

I really like the allure 9007 as it reminds me of turquoise by Ines Di Santo. I think a mermaid or fit and flare are great for petite brides and petite/curvy brides because Aline and ball gowns just really arent that flattering as the dresses tend to overwhelm the bride (at least on me). The major difference between the two gowns is that 9007 flares out more at bottom. The 1st gown does not. Both are gorgeous, so it depends on whether you want more fitted gown with more dramatic flare at bottom verses a more fitted look with smaller train.
