Have you talked to him about it? I would maybe just ask him, in a non-threatening way, about whether you and he are still on the same timeline.
LOL after reading your title I said me too :D. But I'm pretty sure it's coming this year probably for the both of us. i was sort of irritated (especially because in the words of method man "i don't need a ring to be his wife" as long as he asks i'm happy) especially after reading the kimberley process stuff, i'll have to research A LOT before choosing something. i truly believe that men do not see the big deal in getting married. it's like some cult they have. they want to be menly men without us proposing to them, but at the same time they want it to be all their idea which is IMPOSSIBLE because we've already spoken to them about marriage. i think that your time is coming really soon. it seems like he's just spoiling you and enjoying time with you as his girlfriend, you know?
Yeah, I definitely know that it is coming, which is why I feel awful about also feeling a little disappointed, too. I kinda had it set in my heart that it would be by the end of the year...mainly because we are planning for a Feb 2011 wedding. I dont want a rushed engagement...I definitely want at least a year to plan, which he knows. So hopefully it's coming soon. Thanks again for listening!
girlies, disappointment has been the theme of my life over the past couple of months. but i really feel like 2010 is kind of a clean slate for me and i am now officially putting the past behind me.
@bunny - it's going to be awesome when it happens, and it seems like your man wants it to be realyl special, and probably held off from doing it during the holidays. i know it's going to happen for you, we just need to hang in there and be strong!
@bunny: i feel ya on the timeline thing. which is why we are pretty much set on the weekday wedding (that way i don't necessarily HAVE to plan that long.) luckily for him (well and us actually) i really am wanting a shorter engagement (6 month-ish) but we'll see...

I completely understand. I was told that I would be getting a ring at the end of the year too. No such luck on this side. Hopefully this year there will be many engagments... including the both of us. Good luck in waiting.
Nothing wrong with venting! That's what this board is here for...that and when you get the ring and come back and gush about it! 
I know you are impatient though, especially when a month and year picked out!
Crebre-I want a short engagement too! 6 months is my limit. Thankfully he feels the same way!
Thanks again, guys. :) I'll most definitely be back to share the good news when the time comes. However, until that time, I plan to lay low on the boards for a bit. I'll still be around, just not posting as often.

...I'm trying to be patient, but this waiting is so hard!! I had such a wonderful holiday and a super fun new years, but I can't help but feel slightly disappointed. I got EVERYTHING I could have hoped for, except for that one little thing...and I was pretty sure it was coming at some point this week.... We had talked months ago that we wanted to be engaged by the end of the year...and well, here I am still waiting. Sorry, I know I must sound like a complete brat, but I just needed to vent for a minute. Thanks for listening!!
