Is there an urgent care near you? If so, I would consider going if you are worried. Feel better, Good luck!
@MrsMouse: I have no reason to suspect that I am - however, I can't rule that out. I am going to pick up a test tomorrow, but I really don't think that is it, so I'm trying to figure out what else can be causing this.
Might as well check just in case, the $ tree sells tests.
Are you on a birth control? that can be causing swelling if you are having a reaction.... Im not sure whatelse it could be, like the other poster said if you are concerned about it go to an urgent care.
@MrsMouse: I'm not on birth control, but we always use protection which is why pregnancy didn't jump out at me. Aside from the aching pain in the center of my stomach, its a little sore to the touch. Is that common with pregnancy?
No, thats not normal with pregnancy (i dont think) but a friend of mine who is really thin, had weird stomach aches to find out she was prego the next week
hernia sounds about right too... you can also get them from bathroom problems like excessive diarrhea, being SUPER constipated....
OR, and this is just off the wall, did you run into something and now bruised a bit? i know that is odd, and you would probably remember running into something, but a possibility....
It could be IBS (irritable bowl syndrome). Out of nowhere a few years ago, I started up with major stomach issues. The first question my gastro-intestinal doctor asked me was if I was pregnant! I went through every possible test and exam only to find it was IBS (very common in women). For me, it's caused by stress. I finally learned how to manage it.
@MrsMouse: Thanks for your feedback.. I'm going to grab a test on my lunch break to set my mind at ease. Hopefully it's nothing serious.. I'm starting to get nervous :(
Dont be nervous, its probably nothing :)
I would still make an appointment for the Dr. when you can, but no rush unless it gets worse

Hi Bees-
I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. Over the past few days I've been experiencing a dull ache in the center of my stomach. When I woke up this morning, I noticed my stomach looked a little swollen and felt slightly tender to the touch. I went to work thinking nothing of it and as the day progressed my stomach became more tender and swollen. I am normally very tiny (flat stomach, etc). but now my stomach looks puffed out like a pregnant belly. My doctor is not in today and I am beginning to worry.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
