I have a blue topaz, which I wouldn’t trade for the world. But if I HAD to pick something else, I’d pick a moissy, I think they are pretty and unique.

Hmm… I’d like an emerald! Or a peach sapphire.

I have diamonds, but my alternate choice would be either blue sapphire or london topaz.

@Kimberley25:  I’d like a better quality diamond. Mine is small and cloudy.

@Kimberley25:  I’m not sure what kind of stone it is, but I’ve seen on here some very pale pink/peachy oval ones and they are gorgeous!! Maybe it’s a saphire?

I’ve got a green sapphire. For an alternate I’d like an alexandrite or a moissy. I didn’t know color change sapphires existed when I got my ring, but I really want to own one someday.

If I had to choose something else, I would go garnet…it’s my birthstone.  But I’d prefer a nice red one, failing that – a Ruby

My FI would choose it, not me. I have a diamond but if that wasn’t possible for some reason, I would have probably suggested a natural, untreated ruby. I love rubies.

Grey Spinel, untreated sapphire (kind of grey-blue) or peach sapphire in rose gold.
