Is anyone else doing this?  We are on a small budget as college students, and I saw some very pretty invites at Hobby Lobby that were inexpensive and sweet.  Where else can I look?  Any tips, pointers, ideas?  Or any websites would be helpful.  Thanks, Bees!

Michaels, ACMoore, Target and Walmart all have good printable invites! But if you find some you like, either use a coupon or get them from ebay! Make sure you like them for sure, though. About six months ago I bought 120 Martha Stewart eyelet invitations and come to find out... we're getting hitched in winter! So obviously those are out now :)

I will absolutely check those places!  I bet Target has some ADORABLE ones.  The Martha Stewart ones sound so pretty, that stinks that you can't use them!  Thanks for the tips.  :)

There's a really wide selection on www.weddingpaperdivas.com - I love that site! A friend of mine recommended www.einvite.com, and it looks like they have some nice, simple options that are pretty budget-friendly. Good luck in your search!

I got my invites at Michael's. They were perfect for our color scheme (black and silver) and I've gotten tons of compliments on them!

I got my invitations at HobbyLobby during their monthly 50% off bridal and they were gorgeous, and i get a ton of compliments on them. Just to let you know, you will spend a lot of time on your invitations if you decide to make them on your own but i would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Good Luck!

Thanks girls!  What I am planning on doing is picking out the invites and then taking them to a print shop to get them printed up.  Is that the norm?  I don't have the time to invest in doing DIY invites.  And I can NOT afford to spend $10/invite!  Ha!  And Miss Studentbride, the ones I saw at Hobby Lobby were half off also, and they were so pretty!

We bought our invites from Target and added our own special touches with jewels from Michael's.  We also made envelope liners from paper we bought from PaperSource and used a stamp and embossing tool.

It gave my fiance and I time to connect over wedding projects and we were really happy with the outcome! =)

The finished product was something that we were proud to send out to family and friends because they were partly a labor of love. =)

Good luck! I have been browsing at Target and they have some really cute ones! :)

I think that even if you do buy invites that you just need to print, you can definitely do things to customize them!

We bought our invites from Target and my bridesmaid is doing them. They have a fushia ribbon which matches the flowers perfect

Well, at first my printer wouldnt allow me to print out invitation so i got my invitations, drove to the nearest kinkos and asked them very nicely to please print out my invitations. They told me that they could make exact replicas but werent able to print out on the invitations that i had. So, if you plan to take them somewhere else you need to shop around, because the places i went to just wanted to make money off of me and make exact replicas... which really angered me. I finally got my printer to work out but like waitingbee said, maybe a bridesmaid will do it? The thing about diy projects is i really liked the way they came out, i added my own wording and added embelishments and even though it took a whole day it was sooo worth it
