I am hoping all of you who have ordered your dress can help me out here. I am literraly in love with Pronovias styles; lacy look, A-line and short or cut-sleeve…
I tried two stores so far: Superior and Izabella for that matter and both had good variation. Former didn’t have much and so I was not able to say Yes to my dress, later had the say-yes but was so expensive! They told me that it would be better for them to order a shorter one for me which would cost 100 bucks more and their seamstress will charge another 150-200 for any tightening that would be needed once the dress arrives. this all could bring the cost of dress to 2,500…not incl veil and belt and so on..
I am not sure if the ordering of costume size was a fake thing or it does really exist but I still think I can find this or similar style cheaper. Did some search for online shopping but they all seemed scam. I know there is at least 10 stores with Pronovias dresses but not sure which one would work with my budget.
I should mention that lady at Sueprior was really nice and seemed so helpfull and not pushy at all..I wish I found a dress there..
Let me know of your experience buying a pronovias dress in GTA, and how much it cost..
Getting nervous :-/

@negmeg: Sorry no help here for Pronovias. I do find it funny that they would charge you for a short dress just to have it shortened anyways, may as well just order the regular size (save the $100) and pay the $150-$200 to get it fitted to your size.
If you have a specific dress in your head that doesn’t exsist, send me a private message. I know a dress designer that can custom make for you that lives just off the Danforth….maybe you can price him out.

Maybe go back to the first store and see if you can order the first style from them? They might be able to order it even if they don’t have it in stock.

@negmeg: I bought my Pronovias dress from Mona Richie in Woodbridge. They had a huge selection of Pronovias dresses and when I was there last summer they had alot of 2014 dresses already. I got mine for a great price (under $2000) and would recommend this store.

I would think there would be a lot of stores that carry Pronovias in Toronto. I looked there when I was engaged and saw lots of beatiful shops that carried an array of designers and styles. I am from Winnipeg and had a gorgeous Pronovias mermaid gown for my wedding. I bought it from a local bridal shop here and they brought it in for me no problem after I tried on the sample in the store. Absolutely loved it and the service was great!
