Can anyone recommend any brands or places to get straight leg jeans? I love the look of skinny jeans, but I have large thighs and so I don't think they look good on me. Instead, I wear skinny jeans to get a similar look and to make my body look a little more balanced. I am having so much trouble finding them though! I'd really like some that are mid to low rise waist, but most of the ones I find are high rise...I got some from H&M in black but I can't find any others there or anywhere else I seem to look...

Have you tried Express? Of course everything fits everyone differently, but I've had a lot of luck there with straight leg and skinny jeans.

How much do you want to spend?  Hudson's are the ones I wear the most but they're like $180.

I also have big thighs/hips (my bottom half is upside-down spoon shaped!) and recently got these from Sears actually, and I think they fit well... look much better on me than on the stick-skinny mannequin!  They are "straight", which I've found balances me out better than skinnies.

I don't like spending a ton of money on jeans- preferably under $100?

I get mine at JJill or Talbots.  The accomodate my thick thighs.

If you are looking for "straight leg" instead of "skinny" I got a pair from American Eagle Outfitters (of all places!) for about $40. They look like skinny jeans on me, they are dark denim, and come in low or straight rise. I have had no problems with them!

Oh man - I got my favorite pair at H&M a year ago ... and they are WORN OUT! And I can't find the exact kind anywhere ... I miss those pants!

However - I wear alot of GAP skinny jeans ... and I bought a pair from Charlotte Russe as well!

I have the "real straight" from Gap that I love. Not as form-fitting as regular skinny jeans, but look fab with flats and a sweater.

Gap all the way. I have pretty big hips and I'm really short, and they have the perfect jeans there for my size.

I would try Gap. I tried their new skinny jeans and they are great. They have a straight style too. You could also try places like Saks Off 5th or Nordstrom Rack. I routinely get 7 for all mankind, etc at those places for around $100.

I have the whole big thighs, bubble butt, tiny waist thing where jeans in general suck for me. I've had a lot of people tell me to go to American Eagle and once Christmas is over and I can spend some $$ on myself I want to go look there.

    Banana's good too.

how much do you want to spend? true religion skinnies are great for shapely girls because they have more lycra (try the julie fit, ~$172). I would also reccomend Gap and Levi straight legs. The Levis can run as high as $250 though.

I have bigger thighs compared to the rest of my body and I like the way Gap's new straight leg jeans fit me.  They run a bit big, I normally wear a 2 and took a 0.  I have some Ann Taylor straight leg jeans that I like, but they are cut kind of narrow in the thigh, so I sized up to a 4 and need to wear a belt with them to not show my butt.

Have you tried target or JC Penney? Personally I prefer the wide legged jeans. lol. I think skinny/straight legged jeans tend to make my feel look HUGE. = ( I wish I could pull it off!

I absolutely HEART the H&M skinny jeans, SQUIM I think they're called. I bought 4 at one time just in case I couldn't find my size again. You never know - - - Joe's Jeans just came out with elastic waist zippers at the bottom skinny jeans and they are AMAZING.  They are available in all sorts of colors, S, M, L rather than sizes 26, 27, 28 etc... they're $78 at Nordstroms.  Check'em out if you have a chance, they're pretty great  Wink

I get mine at Banana or get the DKNY ones from Macy's.  They're called "East Village" I believe and are ~$60.

I go straight for American Eagle jeans. I have thicker thighs and they fit great. Also, they make your butt look awesome. Cheap, too! Most pairs are $29 or $39.
