Straight or curved wedding band with solitaire engagement ring?

I’m not engaged yet, so have no photos to share, but would love to follow.

I’ve wanted a shaped band for ages, but loved the simplicity of a solitaire. I think the ering I get will be a NSEW RB diamond, so a shaped band should look awesome… In theory.

Straight.  I don’t think that curved bands ever look good…even when they outline the design perfectly.

Can you get a straight band notched to fit with your E ring? That’s what I might do. The jeweller suggested it as an option to have my band and ring fit flush. My E-ring is a 3-stone that juts out in 4 places where the prongs/carriage thing is.

Renlikescats:  no I like being able to just wear my wedding band or just my ER and wedding band together-I like to have options he he.i know someone who has hers soldered and she is so pleased she got it done.

I love gaps – do u have pics? Here is my wedding set (diff style) and a casual ring set with gaps -don’t know if it helps but just so u can see gaps IRL

My e-ring is curved and my wedding band is straight, so there is a bit of a gap.  I thought it would bug me too, but once I found this band, I knew it was the one.  I love it SOOOOO much!  And now I can wear my wedding band without my e-ring and it doesn’t look weird.  Here’s a pic:
