I really can't decide whether to keep my gown's neckline straight or have it altered into a sweetheart neckline (my alterations are free). My gown will not be in until next Feb. so I have time to think about it, just wanted to get some opinions :)
A huge thanks to honeybun who used photoshop to change the neckline so that I could get all of your opinions!!

I'm usually all over the sweetheart neckline, but on you, the straight one seems to be the most flattering on you, and seems to fit with the dress better.
You can't go wrong either way, though!
Sweethearts are my fav, but it looks better straight on you. Plus, it gives off the 80s sweetheart vibe rather than the flattering look.
I think both necklines flatter you, however the straight looks best with the ribbon at the top of the dress.

I'm voting for straight too, but that's because of the ribbon. If you made it sweetheart, would you leave the ribbon on like it is and just "cut into it" or would you take the ribbon off completely and then make it sweetheart? (hope that makes sense) Because I think the ribbon is def. throwing off the sweetheart. I love it straight, but if you really want the sweetheart I would def. remove the whole ribbon, if possible.
I'm really glad that most of you like the original neckline best!! I always pictured myself wearing a gown with a sweetheart neckline, but the straight neckline with the ribbon was part of the reason that I fell in love with my gown. :) It is always wonderful to have my my weddingbee ladies confirm my thoughts.
Before I saw the picture I thought I was going to like the sweatheart neckline (its a pretty universal neckline for people) BUT once I saw the pics the straight was just too perfect!
I voted (for sweetheart) before I looked at the pictures. I actually like the straight better on that particular dress. Either way you look fantastic!

I think straight is the way to go! I love sweetheart necklines, but when a neckline is modified sometimes it can look a little off.

I love sweetheart necklines - but I agree with the ladies above - the straight definitely seems to suit you very very well -I would stick to it that way!
I generally prefer sweethearts, but for you dress you've got that fabulous ribbon-y lining on the neckline, and I think the sweetheart takes away from that. Gorgeous dress!
I vote for the straight original, I really like the band on top and I think it takes away from it with the sweetheart neckline
I'm with the majority - I typically like sweetheart but I'm feeling the straight neckline for this one.
I like them both, but with your particular dress, I prefer the straight-across neckline.
Usually I am all for the sweetheart neckline but this dress is meant to have a straight neckline.. I wouldn't change it.

Generally, I am all about the sweetheart, but the straight strapless looks better on your dress.
I love sweetheart necklines, but the straight-across looks best with the style of the dress and also on you! Either way, it's a beautiful dress!
