@ChocolateLime:  Your post made me laugh! 🙂

I have no idea what “round the twist” is but I think it’s quite possible your grandmother is visiting your daughter. I read somewhere that little children actually see ghosts and only stop seeing them after adults convince them they’re not real. Most people lose the ability so soon in their childhood that they don’t remember ever having it though.

I once listened to a radio show with a very respectable elderly psychiatrist, i.e. a serious doctor. A woman called in and said she was afraid she was losing her mind because she was convinced her late uncle who had passed away unexpectedly a few months prior was still in the house and actually doing nice things for the family, like turning off the stove that she forgot, much like when he was alive. The doctor told her that he firmly believed the people we love don’t really leave until we’re ready to let them go.

I don’t know if it’s quite comparable but I could swear I could hear my dog barking for months after she died in April. It was even stranger because she never barked anymore after she had become deaf a few years before she died.

So yes, I think it’s entirely possible your Nan is playing with your daughter. But she does keep strange hours for sure! 🙂

I loved that show! Maybe your daughter is having a growth spurt?

Have you ever, ever felt like this?

Sometimes these type of toys have an on, an off and a standby switch. My niece used to have one like this that freaked me out the first time it went off in the middle of the night.

@ChocolateLime:  Oh that’s so sweet that your grandad and your daughter share birthdays! It’s funny how you knew when she would be born too. I suppose our instincts, 6th sense or whatever you wish to call it are there for a reason.

So your grandad was an early riser? So maybe your daughter got that from him, she wakes up early and he’s there to keep her company 🙂 I love it 🙂

That’s a cool thought that you nan is ‘visiting’. I’d be tempted to think its a standby button though.

@j_jaye:  Oh, that’s true too! I don’t trust anything with a switch or a plug! lol My laptop has a mind of its own too, it turned itself on in the middle of the night last Saturday – it actually woke me up. It thought it was a great time for a Windows update! lol

So maybe it’s sweet ghosts of late grandparents but maybe it’s also silly electronics 🙂 I much prefer the ghost version though!

well, batteries were dead so it could’ve been left in the ‘on’ position without you knowing. sometimes batteries come back to life at random times!
