I use a lint roller on everything, from spots I can’t vacuum on the carpet to peeling skin and even my Mom’s cat when she sheds!

Ironing my sheets. Not usually something I do personally, but they were really wrinkled and it was a rainy day…I was bored. LOL.

We wrap our mattress in a moving plastic wrap and set it outside for two days in the winter when we get weather cold enough for two days. Freezing kills dust mites and DH has terrible allergies. We also freeze our pillows once a month in the freezer. We had an ENT suggest this many years ago and it does seem to cut down on DHs issues in the winter and spring.

@CakeyP:  My Dyson actually has an attachment that you use to vacuum your pet.  My dog does not like it though.

@sourcandy:  This made me laugh hysterically as I imagined vacuuming my furbaby, lol. Guess it makes sense to go right to the source!

Last night I cleaned my guinea pig’s butts. I’ve got two young males who aren’t so up on personal hygiene, so I have to do it for them. You actually have to invert the scrotum and clean it with mineral oil and q-tips. I couldn’t find unscented mineral oil so I got the stuff that smells like babies. Now when my pigs rumblestrut (it’s a show of dominanace) it smells like babies instead of butt.

When I was a teen I used to hold the wings of a live chicken while my grandma slit the throat, drained the blood, and then I had to put them into hot water and pluck the feathers o_O
