I got a great inexpensive longline bra at the Lauren Silva group. It was incredibly supportive and stayed in place. My dress was satin, so it had to be absolutely no show through-- which it was.
This wasn't my bra, but one that meets your criteria:

Maybe you can check them out online? Customer service was great.
Victorias Secret. They have that bra you can wear tons of different ways, and its a miracle. My sister has DD's and a REALLY low backed dress and it works wonders for her. I am also a D and it is the most supportive bra I have come across.
Thanks Mrs. DG - I am looking online at that right now - I have never seen a long line that is shorter without the boning!
@RosieGirl - I have tried VS, but all of their strapless bras seem to have a TON of padding, which is also something I don't want. I already don't like much cleavage. You mention that your sister has DD size though - do you know if that bra DOESN'T have extra padding?? That would be awesome!
I don't think it has any extra padding. Just enought to hold you up, but not like LOOK AT MY BOOBS!!!!!!!! It seems as they get bigger, the padding gets less.
I like Felina or Chantelle - both at nordstroms and I am a 38 DD
I just went to the VS website and it looks like they are no longer carrying the strapless bras?! All go to a "This Page Cannot be Found" page.
We wear the same bra size, so I know your pain. Go to Nordstroms. They are excellent at fitting you and finding you the right bra for the outfit you want to wear.
@FutureMrs.Awesome - I also love Chantelle and Felina!
Here is what I've found for you so far w/ the requirements of no boning and low back:

No idea how supportive these are.. or where you could go to try them on.. found them all online. Couldn't find anything at Macy's or Dillards online
I have researched this for hours! I swear I have close to an MS in Strapless bras for big boobies.
THis is the one everyone raves about:
Goddess Longline Lace Strapless Bra
I haven't tried it myself, but it gives me hope that I can wear my dress and not wind up adjusting all night.
Thanks ladies!! I'm going to try to see where I can try all of these on with my dress on top of going to Nordstroms and hopefully find one! I am so glad I don't have to wear one with my wedding dress.
I don't have any great suggestions because I'm not in the US but if you have a specialty bra shop near you go there. I went to one for my DDs and they gave me a low back corset style and it's amazingly comfortable and will be perfect with my dress

This is somewhat of a sensitive question - I apologize in advance for TMI.
I'm going to a family wedding in two weeks and planning to wear a long strapless dress. (http://www.bluefly.com/Shoshanna-blue-iris-georgette-tiered-strapless-dress/SEARCH/306653701/detail.fly) is the dress.
Anyway, I am having the most difficult time finding a bra to wear with it. Depending on the bra, I am a 34 DD or a 34 D. I wanted to try to wear this dress without a strapless bra, but the top is slightly loose since this is more of a grecian style. I tried the dress on with my normal Wacoal strapless bra, but it goes too high up in the back and also in the front. I went to Macy's and tried on those "NuBra" stick on pad things - what a nightmare - um, those did absolutely nothing other than stick on and hang there/ flop around so to speak. I also don't want to wear a full on bustier because I hate boning, especially how it juts out when I sit down and warps, the boning would show through the thin silk, and I don't need any shapewear help. I'm seriously at a loss.
Does anyone know of any supportive strapless/ backless bras??
Thank you!
