I was thinking about doing this too! I’ll probably just buy a big white sheet and dye it different shades of orange, and then add some gold and silver ribbon.

Ribbon will probably be your best bet with black and white, and I bet it will look nice!

We have not done ours yet but we will be doing ours with ribbon make sure to order a LOT of ribbon and get different widths for visual intrest (even more so if you are only doing 2 colors)

I have seen this before, and LOVE it! We’re having a beach wedding so I’m seriously considering doing it with a bamboo arch if FI goes for it. I would recommend doing exactly what MsPanda said, lots of ribbon in different widths for some good visual appeal!

I got wooden dowels from Home Depot – they were like 2.99 each.  I used 1.5 yards of muslin (I think it was 3.50 a yard) and dyed it with RIT.

I’d probably stick with 2 colors or textures to keep it from being too busy – because it will be behind you in all of your ceremony photos.  I think doing just the plum or shades of plum would look awesome because your dress would really pop against it.
