I’m sorry to say that I’m having similar feelings myself. You are definitely not alone.

@valeried316:  Date twin!  And YES I totally feel the stress.  I’ve already accepted that I am going to be stressed out for the next two months.  I *think* once I get my invitations mailed out, I’ll feel a little better.  Probably not.  What all do you have left to do?

@valeried316:  I think the 2 month mark totally just put me over the edge!

It’s really feeling real now!

I’m a wedding photographer and I’m still working on so many other ppl’s weddings this month – I didn’t plan my timing out very well to be able to focus on my own. I’m struggling to catch up! I’m just finding that I left too much on my plate for only 2 months left to finalize the details, you know?

@valeried316: Luckily, I haven’t had to narrow down my guest list.  We’re looking at 150 people right now, which was what we were estimating in the beginning.

Your list sounds very do-able in the next two months!  Just keep at it.

Things I have left to do:

– send out invitations

– photo booth rental

– make table numbers

– buy BM/GM gifts

– ringbearer pillow (I’m making it)

– arrange day of transportation

– escort cards/assigned seating chart

– pay vendor balances

Everything else is pretty much done, but I’m sure I’ll think of something at the last minute.

Good luckk!!!!

Trying to organise day of transport has been the worst for me. And trying to find some seating for the ceremony, we’re only allowed to have 10 chairs for 80 guests and I’m so not okay with it. I want to find some benches so more people can have seats.

I was quoted $1600 for 3 hours limo hire and $900 for three hours trolley hire. I just can’t justify so much money on transport 🙁 I don’t know what I’ll do!

The closer it gets the more stressed I get!
I completely agree about having a wedding planner. I think the price is worth not having to stress.

The most stressful part for me is trying to coordinate times with everyone and being the messenger back and forth. ahh! haha

I am so beyond stressed. I’m staying at my parents’ house right now to pet sit for them, because they (along with my sister/MOH) are across the country on vacation. Not helping my stress level.

I still haven’t booked my hair stylist and my first trial went terribly (they did a great job, I just didn’t like the way anything looked on me). I’ve got another one on Wednesday.

Some of my fiancé’s relatives contacted us about what hotel to stay at. My mom had offered to find some and book blocks but I have not idea if she has done that yet. I tried to call her about it but since they are on vacation it’s hard to get a hold of them. I don’t want to have to tell people they have to wait until next Monday before I can give them any information about it.

I am making my own centerpieces but I didn’t have enough of the flowers I’m using so I ordered more but the shipment got delayed. It’s on it’s way now so hopefully it arrives soon. I still haven’t decided what to do for table numbers.

I’m on my third try for shoes. I ordered the latest pair yesterday but they need to be dyed so I don’t know how long that will take.

My wedding band was messed up during resizing. The replacement is supposed to arrive October 4th. We recently discovered that my fiancé’s band turns his finger green, so that will need to be handled at some point.

My bridesmaids still need jackets and shoes. I need to make one more bouquet for them.

I haven’t done any planning for the day of. I have no timeline. No idea on music for the ceremony. I honestly have no idea how to handle any of that stuff. We did meet with my cousin this weekedn. He got ordained just so he could do our wedding. Luckily he has been a DJ for a long time (owned his own company for a while) so he has seen a LOT of weddings and been part of the planning process and such. After talking to him I feel better about being able to lay things out with his help.

There are things that are getting done. I know we pretty much have things on track but it’s getting to be crunch time. I don’t think there’s any way to NOT be stressed right now. Oh, I also strat training for my promotion at work next week. So that doesn’t help with the stress level.

Yep!  I think around the 2.5 – 3 month mark is when I started to get really stressed out!  It will go fast though!

I’m (thankfully) the 30th November, so it’s 11weeks this week until the big day.

we decided to get in early and have mailed all but two invites (RSVP date is October 13th, so we have plenty of time to get final number stuff organized), and were having a home wedding on our 25acre property so we didn’t have to book reception etc.

weve managed to get all the big stuff taken care of (marquee, cake, celebrant and ceremony script, dress, BM dress, honeymoon flights and accommodation and transport, bouquets, veil, garter, ceremony and reception music, wedding ring (1/2)) not we still don’t have menswear, or hubbies wedding ring so that is a little stressful.

that said, we have to think about other things, like hiring our own tables and chairs for 100, hiring our own Dfloor, music equipment (our DJ is a friend), and making alot of food ourselves (mum used to be a caterer), and to top it all of its an outdoor AND themed wedding… So ill be stressing about it raining until the morning of.

Eep!

then there’s smaller things like having enough extension cords to power the dj equipment, or if its windy weighing everything down. Tiny details like that are stressing me out.

and things like buying a cake topper and wedding night lingerie!!! Ahhhh!

Yep, the stress is definitely getting to me. Word of advise, DIY is not as easy as you think it is.
