in the same exact issue - my coordinator quit, she was supernice but very scatterbrained! And the only way I found out was via twitter!
Follow up with an email and a phone call - I would imagine that they're getting a lot of freaked out brides. She's probably overwhelmed, but that doesn't mean you should lower your expectations of the venue. You have to set the tone!
I think you'd definitely be able to ask for someone else. Did they tell you where your other coordinator went?
@crebre - Nope! They didn't tell me at all! The only reason I even KNOW that she's not there anymore is because I emailed her to ask her the question, and I got an email back from my new coordinator explaining that she was no longer there. She also said in the email that she'll be my coordinator "until further notice"...do you think that means they'll be placing me with someone else again? I just don't like being passed around like this, haha!
I'm sure they are overwhelmed with her being gone...I didn't really think about that. If i haven't heard back from her by tomorrow I will definitely send a follow-up email. I'm just disappointed because I was so happy with my other coordinator!
Maybe instead of a follow-up email you should just call them? I find it's harder for people to avoid answering a question if you're asking them on the phone for an answer right then :) And while you're talking to her about the question, definitely ask if she'll be your coordinator long term (until your wedding)! You have a right to know, I think!

So this past week I found out that my original coordinator at my venue had quit. Lovely. I got along with her so well and she was amazing - I was actually really frustrated because she apparently sent out an email to all of her brides but I just didn't get one (???)
Anyways, I have a new coordinator now, and I emailed her about a week ago to ask a question and she told me she'd get back to me soon, and I have heard nothing! It's very annoying, because my other coordinator always got back to me VERY quickly, and she was actually a large factor in us deciding on that venue! I just don't know exactly what to do - if she ends up being a terrible coordinator can I ask to have someone else??
I'm just so sad... I want my old coordinator back!
