I rarely break out. If I do, it's because I've touched something oily and then unaware, touched my face. This last week and this week my skin is really bad and I know it's because I'm so stressed. My wedding is 5 days away. How do I clear up my skin fast without going to the doctor or buying some ridiculously expensive cream. Any ladies go through something similar? I'm really nervous that I'll have bumps on my face on my wedding day.

Exfoliating A LOT always helps for me.  But if you haven't tried that in the past you may be sensitive to it.

Usually I'm good with splashing cold water on my face and if I do get a bump, clean it with astrigent. It's so frustrating

There are two types of acne creams out there:  those based on salicylic acid, and those based on benzoyl peroxide.  Most people's acne responds better to one than the other.  If you've ever used an acne cream with one of these ingredients and had success with it, then you should be safe using an over-the-counter cream with that ingredient.  If you've never tried either, then don't risk it this close to your wedding.

I have found that benzoyl peroxide-based face masks are the best way to clear up skin overnight.  I'm not sure if they sell any masking cream in regular stores that contain benzoyl peroxide; I order mine from Proactiv.

Here's an interesting home remedy I found that seemed to get good reviews.

Whatever you do, try a little bit today, and if your skin gets red, dried out, irritated, or feels yucky by tomorrow, stop the treatment.  You don't want to do anything drastic at this stage because you never know how your skin will react.  Good luck!
