EEK! make an appointment ASAP with a dermatologist for a cortisone shot! they help the cystic ones go down fast. i asked my dermo for an antibiotic to take before the wedding cause I get cysts too when I'm stressed. get to the doctor!!
if u don't have time- maybe you could have the dermo call you in a script for an antibiotic!
Have you ever tried putting Cortizone 10 on them? One of my classmates swears by this...I have yet to try it.
Hmm cortisone 10? interesting idea!! Sooo, I too get cystic acne when I'm stressed out. Matter of fact I have one moster on my forehead right now, so don't feel alone. I was just reading today about the best/most effective treatment since I am tired of getting them and they HURT and since my wedding is in April, I am trying to figure out the best thing. The sites I was reading today said that becuase they are soo deep, they dont respond well to topical medications, however, I must admit I am tempted to try cortisone 10. But if there is any way you could find time, my recommendation would be do make an appt like 5 days before your wedding and get any bumps shot with the cortisone shots like jordynrose suggested. Oh and the other thing the site said was not to pick at them... Which, I know, it's impossible not too because they hurt, but it says it will make them last much much longer if you do.
I've never had cystic/bump acne like this before EVER (but I've also never had stress like this before) so this advice is helpful. I'll see if I can get a VERY early appointment. How long before the wedding would you get cortizone shots?
I technically don't get time off until 3 months into my job but maybe they'll be flexible if I'm a little late and don't take a lunch. Ugh. Day 2 there and I'm already ready to beg them for flexibliity, that's enough to cause another zit!!!
I live by vaseline. Yes, it gets rid of zits. I coat my face over night and it'll reduce redness and size by morning, sometimes it'll even make them go away all together. 3days at the most. You can coat your face for silky smooth skin or you can just do spot treating. Of course only do this as you go to bed for the night. Yes it will feel a tad gross but when you wake up you won't regret it.
Another quick and occasionally painful treatment is lemon juice. Spot it on before bed and when you're around the house. Real lemon juice works quicker then the artificial stuff, but they both do the job.
I have a family member that swears by prepratin h, she claims that it's good for all sorts of bumps, under eye puffiness, and mouth ulcers. I haven't tried it, but it is somthing to think about.

11 days til the wedding and I am getting cystic like zits! Like little hard balls that won't go away. I just started a new job - how crazy is my life - and I don't have time off to get to a dermotologist. I was using the Clean & Clear overnight stuff but it's clearly not working well. Any not-super-pricey and readily-available suggestions? The breakouts are just along my chin and jaw. :(
