Long story short, we put our deposit on our venue and ended up needing a new roof a week later. This roofing company is completely screwing me over and I’m stuck with them Due to a contract I signed from day one that I’m now regretting immensely. (Thought a client wouldn’t screw me over but I guess I was wrong. )
So over 3000$ later in less then two weeks and I’m just wanting to cry 🙁 My savings is GONE and I still have some credit cards and other various bills to pay off and I’m just miserable.
Mostly just Venting. 🙁 I know it’s not the end of the world but I’m just so stressed. My anxiety medicine isn’t strong enough for this! Haha

I’m so sorry, honey! Life totally gets in the way of our plans sometimes! Looks like you still have some time before your wedding. Any chances to save or make a little extra between now and then?

@hummingbirdkrista: I am so sorry! Remember, it won’t always be like this!

That is exactly what we are scared of! We have a small savings account and were going to put a roof on our house but.. if we are responsible and take care of the roof it puts a large dent ($5,600!!) in what we could use for the wedding AND I’m terrified of having no savings. If we don’t put the new roof on we know we will need one in two years and there is no way we can have that muchsaved up again by then.
I’m so sorry you are stressed and I do hope everything works out for you. Good luck!!

@hummingbirdkrista: When it rains, it pours. There is nothing you can do now, of course, but for the future I would suggest starting a contingency fund. In case any unexpected bills come up, you can draw from that account. It doesn’t have to be substantial because anything helps. It’s money you won’t “miss” because it was saved for that purpose and you can even start with $20/week (most of us spend that on coffee).
