I am going *AGAIN* to try on wedding dresses. I must have tried on over 30+ by now. I found one Alfred Angelo which I adore to the high heavens, but at $1500, I need to be realistic and find something more in my price range. I know $1500 doesn’t seem like much to some but it’s $500 more than where i’d like to be max (before alterations, accescories, etc)
I’m going to a local shop tonight to try on Casablanca gowns. Are there any full figured, plus size girls out there who have purchased a gown from them? My top 4 are the 2048, 2072, 2108 and the 1827.
Been to David’s twice. Filmed for TLC. Went to Alfred Angelo. A local store. I am about to give up and just wear a velore sweat suit!

I didn’t try on any Casablanca gowns as I originally found a dress by Callista that I fell in love with until I had a bridal store tell me they stopped carrying the line because of prices and material. I decided to go to a local bridal salon and asked about dresses for plus size desginers that they carried to start my search again. They gave me a few designers: Mori Lee, Alfredo Angelo and Essense of Australia.
I ended up with a Julietta by Mori Lee dress (that is the plus size collection). I have heard some of their dresses being under $1000. My dress was $1260 (Canadian) and I still have to pay for alterations. I’ve seen in the US people have said they range between $799-999 but I’m not 100% sure.
I hope your search goes well and you find something you like!

I don’t know where you are in the Boston area… but I am a Casablanca bride (wearing 2032 this Saturday… yay!) and I highly recommend Chryssie’s Bridal in Canton. I am plus sized (bridal size 20) and they had a great selection. 2032 is from a few yrs ago I think, bought their sample off the rack. VERY reasonable prices, amd I would be very surprised if you couldn’t find a Casablanca in your price range:)
