Man, that doesn’t sound like fun.  In addition to the wedding stress, you have cultural differences, a langage barrier, and a generational gap.

Its a wonder things haven’t gotten more messed up.

Sorry to hear that things are so stressful.  I’m sure the married bees will tell you, however, that it will all work out in the end.  You have to believe!  🙂

Hang in there!

I feel like that almost every day Smile

I would tell your fiance that the reception site is already booked and you can’t get another site at a reasonable cost in time, so he needs to explain that to his parents. If there’s still issues, tell him you just don’t have time for this argument right now because you need to get your dress, get invitations, photog, etc. and are feeling really stressed out. Either pitch in, help out and handle any side stressors on his own, or recommend just going to the court house and taking care of it that way. Then no one is happy because there wasn’t a Catholic wedding, Chinese or Korean reception – and since no one is happy, everyone is happy?

I love how people love to attack the bride and groom about what they plan for ‘their’ own wedding.  Especially when they arent even paying for it! Its just crazy and quite rude, who cares from now on what anybody says, its your wedding do what  makes you happy! People are always going to have a negative comment to say its all part of wedding drama, unfortunately

take it easy! just plan an american wedding!  or just give them something!

so they want a chinesse wedding and you dont, can you just add something from their culture as part of your wedding?  and i would recomend buffet style and have american, chinesse and korean food *trust me it’s worth it!

try to incorporate something from their culture and they will be more likely to work with you.  good luck!
