I had a makeup artist, Angela Karr (angelakarr.com). She's from Dallas and comes to Waco alot and I'm sure she'd go to Austin. She's amazing and is a sweetheart. Call her up, you won't regret it! She did my bridal portrait makeup and wedding day makeup and I was quite impressed! She doesn't do hair, but I'm sure she could give you some names too :)
Try Milk and Honey salon - they have one in downtown Austin and a location in the suburbs too. I've never had my makeup done there but they're fantastic for hair!
Okay disclaimer- I did PR for this woman when I was in college, BUT SHE IS FABULOUS (I just felt that as an honest PR practioner I should tell you this ;) )

Lecia, the owner is seriously wonderful.
She did my brother's wedding. Message me and I will send you pictures. She is also doing my wedding. She does hair and she does airbrush makeup, which is so good for weddings, because it does not smear and if you cry or anything it stays on.

Ladies of Austin, please help a gal out.
I'm not from the area and the internet is no friend of mine right now in my search to find a hair and makeup artist. My engagement shoot is fast approaching and while I've been on the hunt for a little over a month now I am slowly losing my mind.
I'm in search of an artist that's not overpriced and does a really swell job.
I'm on a very strict budget so if it's at all possible to find someone who could do both (hair and makeup) for $200 and no more than $300 that would be would be fan-freakin-tastic! Seriously.
So please, if you have worked with someone who does both services for the going rate I have listed, please share and post photos of their work.
