well, after searching endlessly I finally found a designer I’m absolutely IN LOVE with. I’ve narrowed it to 3 dresses so far however, out of nowhere now I am stressing about the appropriateness of these dresses. I’ve always been the type of person that hasn’t really cared about this issues, my fiance and I are not very religious people and we are not getting married in a church setting so I’m unsure as to why I’m stressing about it now. What are your opinions?

Appropriate for where? I don’t know that these would be appropriate for a church, but it doesn’t sound like thats where you want to get married. If you are selfconcious I would choose something else. But if you love the dress then wear it with confidence.

They are beautiful dresses, but I do see what you mean. Do you know whether any of the designers would be able to raise the back an inch or two?

They look fabulous to me. I’ve seen ppl show that much back in a church wedding with no veil! I think u will look gorgeous in either of those. My favs are #1 and #4.

They are pretty risque, but I’d have to know more about your venue/event/family to know whether it’d be a problem.

Hey, it’s not in a church so go for it. They are all beautiful.

What do the fronts look like? If they’re really low in the back and the front it may be an issue, unless you don’t mind. But I love low back dresses so I think these are gorgeous 🙂 If it’s an issue for the ceremony than a little jacket or shrug could be an easy fix, then just toss it for the reception.

these are amazing! Nothing inappropriate about them.

If you feel comfortable in them then all the power to you. I however would feel naked because of the back.

I think these dresses are just gorgeous. I don’t have the build to wear them (too short!), but the open back is one of my favorite looks.

I think they’re gorgeous! I’m still looking for a low back like these- the last one I tried on looked more like a nightgown than a wedding dress (kinda similar fit as the first one). But I think these appear very bridal gown-y to me (minus the first one) just with that lil (or maybe alot) risque factor. If your comfortable wearing them I say go for it!

My jaw dropped when I saw the first one! If you end up going with any of these dresses, please check back with pictures!

There’s a golden rule I heard somewhere that’s along the lines of “for an outfit to be appropriate, pick one – back, legs, or chest – and only one.”

Those are beautiful! If it’s only the back that’s low cut, I think they’re appropriate.

Those are incredible! They are unique, beautiful, and pretty much jaw dropping IMO. I see absolutely nothing inappropriate about an exposed back, even if it was in a church.
Go for it!
