@awakemysoul:  I know it can be really scary! HCG levels can be different for different women and since you aren’t solid on your ovulation date, I wouldn’t worry yet. I would wait and see if it’s doubling first. As long as the HCG is doubling in 48-72 hours, then it doesn’t matter much where it started.

Since past months’ charts don’t seem to indicate O based on CM, I would guess you O’d a few days later than FF is telling you. Keep us posted on results from your second test! FX!

Aww, I am so sorry your test results are stressing you out.  Hopefully my experience will help calm your nerves.  I tested positive on 10DPO and my doctor ordered an immediate blood draw the same day.  When the results came back, my hcg was only a 7.  The nurse was really concerned.  To make matters worse, I had already been worried about a chemical pregnancy because I was charting and the morning of 10DPO my temp went way down.  (chart here: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/mrseagleeye) I had actually tested the night before and got a positive too otherwise I may not have bothered testing that day.  Anyway, when I got my next hcg drawn my levels quadrupled for a few days and were then in normal range.  Hopefully that will be the case for you too.   (Also you can probably tell by my super long chart, but I am 14 weeks now baby seems to be doing great.)  Did your doctor also check your progesterone levels?  Might want to make sure those levels look okay as well.  Mine were pretty low, I think 7.8 or so on 13/14 DPO.  They started me on progesterone supplements and everything went great.  I know the waiting sucks but try to take your mind off of it.  Worrying won’t change anything and the baby needs positivity!  It seems possible to me that you may have ovulated later due to being sick and your levels aren’t that far off.  Good luck to you, I’ll keep my FX’d for good news!

@awakemysoul:  You are right! Much easier said than done when it comes to worrying. Just wanted to let you know that it is possible that things can be okay!!

@awakemysoul:  39 is great!  I think if it was a chemical pregnancy your progesterone levels would probably already be dropping (not a doctor but from my understanding this is very common) so I would take that as a good sign!

+1 to all the PP’s.  It starts off low, then you will see how quickly it doubles. You’ll be surprised.

Try not to stress over HCG, it’s so much better for your body to try to relax. It’s hard I know.  GL and keep us posted!

@awakemysoul:  Why don’t you call your doctors office?  Perhaps the results are there and your doctor hasn’t gotten around to calling yet.  Since the weekend is coming, I say be proactive and make a call.  Doesn’t hurt to ask.

I had the same issue regarding waiting the weekend.  I was initially just told my HcG numbers were “low,” oodly enough I didn’t want to know the exact number because I knew I would freak out.  For the follow up test I called a million times for the results at 9am on a Monday and got exact numbers.  Hang in there.

Sending velcro baby vibes your way this weekend!
