@eecuadrado:  Stretch marks are genetic. There is unfortunately no way to prevent or TRULY get rid of them. Cocoa butter helps keeps skin smooth and nice, but all of those expensive products that claim to get rid of stretch marks are just full of it.

@eecuadrado:  you cannot get rid of them. The purple will fade over time though and get silvery. mederma I think makes a fade cream. Just keep stretch marks lubricated and avoid direct sun and tanning beds while they fade

Sorry, you can’t get rid of them!  They will change color over time and get silvery/ lighter, they won’t stay purple forever.  They are genetic so there is nothing you can do other than trying to stay within the recommended weight range and trying to gain slowly and steadily (as opposed to big spurts of weight gain).  You can try some cream to fade them faster though.  It can still take months for them to fade though, I think.

@eecuadrado:  Sorry girl =/ They’ll fade over time, but don’t trust any product that says they can fade or get rid of them. It’s just one of those things!

@eecuadrado:  I hear ya. They are genetic unfortunately. I still use Palmers cocoa butter formula because it moisturizes my skin and what not, but I have no faith that it is keeping my body was having stretch marks. I do have silver stretch marks (from gaining and losing weight in my teens and young adult years) but I have no new purple ones or anything coming in.

I had a fellow be recommend Mama Mio Oil?  I might be saying it wrong! SO far she’s… 39+ weeks with no stretchmarks, but as @PacificMrs: said, it’s also genetic! Which I’m not happy about since my mom got a ton. :/
