I am having my ceremony and cocktail hour at different places, but for the ceremony we are have a string trio. I am posting an ad on the boards at a few local colleges with prestigious music programs so we can save money and offer a chance for some students to play for us!
good luck with your search!
p.s. it would be a good idea if you let us know where you're looking to find these musicians (so you can find something local!)
Check out www.gigmasters.com or www.weddingwire.com
i personally like gigmasters.com better - tons of performers to choose from!

I am deciding which ensemble to go with for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I am looking for soft and pretty classical music for the ceremony and a versatile (upbeat and romantic and jazzy) music for the cocktail hour.
1.Please share the music ensemble (harp/violin, string quartet, piano/violin/cello, jazz trio...etc. you used/will use for Ceremony and/or Cocktail hour?
2. Which performer(s)/group name did you use?
Any comments & suggestions are welcomed!
*quick note on the ceremony room, it has tall ceiling and the room is quite large. The venue claims that the room has really good acoustics...
