So I’ve been practicing with doing my own makeup a lot lately. I don’t really wear any on a daily basis. I’m trying to go with a “natural” look for the wedding.
Do any bees have tips on how to have “natural” makeup, but still have it show up in pictures? I’m struggling with that balance between wearing enough to look good in pictures, but not looking like a clown in real life. Any pictures would be great!
I wore a trial run for my shower and thought I was wearing a lot, but it looked like I wasn’t wearing anything in the pictures. Ew.

@HoneysHoney: The funny thing about makeup in photos that you might be wearing a lot, but it will wind up looking like practically nothing in pictures. I remember for our engagement session I did my own makeup and I put on SO much, but it looked really natural for our pictures.
I know there’s quite a few ladies here on WeddingBee that have gone the DIY route so hopefully they will chime in. I got mine professionally done for the actual wedding, but Youtube is chalked full of amazing videos! Most of them are complete with product lists to use.
Remember, practice makes perfect!

I’m wondering the same thing myself. I do wear makeup daily but mostly BB Creams, natural color shadow, powder, highlighters, lipstick, gloss, etc – nothing photography worthy.
OP, definitely make sure your brows are in check no matter if you DIY makeup or go pro. I do my own but I’ve perfected it after years of practice and lots of $$ spent on tools (I have thick brows naturally). Since you don’t wear makeup usually – practice, practice, practice.
