Wow. If she isn't paying for it and its in your budget, then buy it. Tell your Mom that you really appreciate her help, but you've found a dress you love and its in your budget so you'd are going to buy it. Tell her that you don't want to risk having a dress made when you've found one you already love.
I think your mom is trying to be helpful and save you money. Thank her for her time and effort ('cause it sounds like she's not skimped on the effort) and tell her that you are in love with your dress. You just have to buy it.

I wrote an earlier post about falling in love with a dress out of my price range (Cardinal Sin). I found a similar dress in my price range and went about calling every bridal shop in town to see if I could fit a sample to try. Unfortunately, no place carried a smaple of that particular dress. Fortunately, the bridal shop that carried my dream dress was extremely helpful, giving me names of dresses that they carried so I could look online. After talking to them for a bit they let it slip that my dream might be on a sample sale (50% OFF!!!), they didn't know for sure but they thought it might happen. Meanwhile, my mother is taking me to every bridal shop in town, trying on dozens of dresses and taking my joy out of this. I understand that she wants me to find the dress (I already have) and she wants us to save money but it is getting beyond frustrating. Her newest idea is to have the dress made by a small dress shop, which I'd be all for if I had ever seen their work. My major concern with getting the dress made is that the lace will be different, stupid I know but anyone who's tried on a Pronovias lace gown knows how soft it is and how it feels like you're wearing a well worn t-shirt.
Wow, that got super long and was more of a vent than anything but I just don't know how to take the incessant nagging for more dresses and cheaper dresses when A. she's not paying for anything and B. the fiance has already ok'd my decision.
