Basically I think I’ve narrowed my search down with 9.5 months to go, to two similar dresses. I really, really liked both of them on but on the pictures I sway back and forth between which one is best. I’ve not had thay “this is the ONE” feeling but I don’t think I will to be honest, I’ve tried on quite a lot of dresses now!
I’m totally set on a prominent mermaid shape, as it looks best on me and I love them, and a combo of lace & tulle!
Dress number one is Tenille by Sottero & Midgley, it’s mostly soft, pleated tulle with lace accents and a lace tiered skirt. My reservations about this were the tiers on the skirt.
Dress number two is Begonia by Sophia Tolli. It is the opposit eto the first in the sense that it has a lace bodice and tulle skirt. The sweetheart seems a bit deeper on this one and it is fairly blingy. It’s also £300 more, but both of my bridesmaids prefer it!
And here is me in the samples, in two different shops and obviously neither of them fit me properly haha.
Oh what to do!!! Another thng t take into account is the Tenille comes with the plain sash, while Begoni comes with a beaded belt, I would definitely want a different belt with the Tenille. Also, I tried the Begonia on yesterday and they offered me a 10% discount if I booked the same day, I obviously didn’t and I’m wondering if they could still offer it if I decide in the nest week, that would help A LOT! My wedding is going to be quite rustic, it’s in a countryside restaurant in Cheshire (more of a gastro pub!) if tht helps too, I’m not sure if Tenille fits in more with the theme!
Do I have a dress or should I look one more time for something that is a Frankenstein of the two?!

I voted for Sottero and Midgley.
I think you look better in it.

Thanks! Honestly, I probably think that too, but my sister and best friend think the other! UGH! Haha.

I also really wish I’d worn spanx to try them on haha, food baby is not a good look!

@Mangomosa: I really love the tiered skirt one. It’s so pretty.

Personally I LOVE the tiered one, and its my fave, BUT which do you prefer? As far as the theme, I think the tiered one is too dramatic whilst the other would fit in better, however if you feel better in the tiered one, and love it… I’d go for it 🙂 .

I much prefer the skirt of the begoni

On you, I like the Tenille better (although in pictures I prefer the Begnoia).
Go with your gut, one of these dresses will speak to you more, and this poll will help you see that. Don’t listen to us, listen to what your gut is telling you 🙂

I just don’t know! I feel number 1 is more “countrified” whereas number 2 is more blingy and suited to a more formal setting?
I just don’t want people to think I look like a flamenco dancer/toilet roll cover! Eek.

@Mangomosa: I don’t think that it’s more “countrified”. I also think that #1 fits your theme just fine. The tenille looks AMAZING on your body. You can seE your curves more and it just looks really great on you. I also like the belt on it as well. It’s really pretty.

Thanks for the votes everyone! Tenille is back at the top of my list!
I’ve made contact with another local shop to ask if they had any similar dresses and they said they were getting more in towards the end of the year and alleviated my fears slightly about how close it’s getting without a dress haha, so I’m going there in November! I’ll probably post some pictures then!:-)
