Don’t beat yourself up! When I was in college, grades were extremely important to me, too. I worked my ass off and graduated in the top 10% of my class. Since I’ve graduated, however, I’ve realized my grades weren’t the end of the world. Honestly, I wish I had spent less time studying and more time hanging out with my friends; it would have been a lot less stressful.

I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts and wishing you luck. I’m sure you passed your class and won’t have to take it again. Keep us posted! 🙂

The only thing I can say is, it happens. When I got my first B my junior year I was devestated. But really, what can you do? No use beating yourself up over it now. If you have to take the class in the summer then oh well. You can still work full time if your just taking a class or two. My friend retook a class because she got a C and said it was much easier the second time around. Don’t worry about it now, you can’t do anything until the grades come out.

@JessicaJupiter:  I totally feel your pain. I had all A’s except in my anatomy classes I would get B’s, still had a great gpa. I took my fourth anatomy class and it was rough from the start. I had around a 70, then my DH (then bf) came back from a deployment and I blew off studying and completely failed one test and I ended up with a D+ I was totally devestated! I still hate that I have mostly A’s a couple B’s and a freaking D!! But it happens, that’s all I can say. I hope you end up with a C though! Congrats on having a 4.0 thus far, that’s hard to do!

I 100% know how you’re feeling. I myself am in my last year, have maintained a 4.0 since the first semester.  I’ve never known anything less. I just wrote my last exam yesterday, and I went in so confident. Stupid multiple choice royally screwed me over. This teacher is known to be a hard ass when it comes to tests and assignments.

I just go somewhere quiet/alone and just have a good cry, then have some alcohol to make me feel better and sleep it off. Not the best way I guess but it works well enough to make me forget about it.  It sucks because when you’re so invested in school, it’s all that matters.

Shit happens! College is hard, you just gotta move on. Did I beat myself up about some of my classes? Yes. Have I moved on and gotten way better grades? Also yes.

I rarely get bad grades because I am obsessive and ridiculous when it comes to school. Never used to be that way. Now, when I get a grade even remotely lower than an A, I have a good cry and some wine.

That being said, don’t beat yourself up over one lousy grade. A 3.4 GPA for this semester is super, and you learned from any mistakes that you made. Sounds to me that you deserve a little celebration!

@JessicaJupiter:  I just found out that I was 3 questions for my exam from receiving a C in the class. It sucks but it is what it is at this point. Might retake it, might not, I’m undecided.

I am not a 4.0 student in college but I do end up with As & Bs and have a very active club life on the school campus also (president of 1 club, secretary of another) but last semester was horrible for me. I had to have fusion surgery and it really affected my whole semester, I missed so much class & this one professor was not willing to help me out in anyway. I am going to retake the class & I also had to add a semester to my schooling so I wasn’t stretching myself so thin. While that also sucks I’d much rather have just 1 bad semester and go back to getting As & Bs and bring my GPA back up then graduate on time with stretching myself too thin.
