Since I don’t have pics of my dress to post a review yet, I will post FI’s suit review for studiosuits.com.
After researching and finally settling on ordering a custom white linen suit from Studio Suits, we measured Fiance and placed the order on August 12, 2013. Due to other reviews I rounded up all of his measurements an extra 1/2 inch to full inch for a little extra room since they sometimes cut small. The directions for measuring your Fiance are pretty clear but if you aren’t sure you can properly measure your man, ask your mom or a seamstress to help you out. I highly recommend using PayPal for the transaction, especially since my bank rejected the initial order since Studio Suits is based in India.
We received an email the very next day to confirm some of the measurements they thought were wrong. Boy were a few wrong! I sent them a seat measurement that was half the size it should have been so I am glad they review the measurements and contact you to verify them before sending them on to the tailoring department.
The next email was notifying us that his suit shipped on August 22, 2013, and should be arriving in approximately 5-7 days. The email included a DHL tracking number and Fiance received it on August 26, 2013. Per Fiance it was quadruple wrapped from outwide to inside: DHL package, an outer plastic bag, cloth Studio Suits bag, and an inner plastic bag with the actual suit inside.
He excitedly tried it on immediately of course and…it fit perfectly! The material is nicer than the material on the off-the-rack white linen suit we purchased for his Bridesmaid or Best Man at Macy’s. The seams are iron sharp and the suit looks great! We ordered his suit with the pant cuffs sewn and the extra lining in the pants. I would definitely order from them again and highly recommend their suits.
Without further ado, FI’s white linen suit for our beach wedding:
