- Wedding: May 2011
I don’t like wedding receptions. They’re always awkward and boring to me. A great example was my brother’s wedding. Only a few people drank, and only about 4 people enjoyed dancing. At half an hour after dinner, the entire group was just sitting there, staring off into space, with the exception of the bride who was trying (and failing) to keep things going.
Most of my family doesn’t dance (my brother and I are the exception.) It’s a dry reception (my parents are t-totalers, as is most of my family.) My guy isn’t keen on having board/card games at the tables. Forced participation goes against the grain of my personality (I hate bouquet tosses, for instance.)
Any suggestions for things to keep non-dancers occupied, so this doesn’t turn into a repeat of my brother’s wedding?
