Do you just have days where you eat a ridiculous amount?

Like more than just "oh I'm pregnant".

I had one last week and today.

Thus far I have had a bowl of cereal, a bagel, 1 slice of bread, 1 small packet of Chocolate Pocky, chicken/steak fajita for lunch, asian pear and another slice of bread! I still have a apple for later.

And there's still dinner and snacking when I'm home!

    Share your gluttony! :D

I totally have those days! I am shocked sometimes that I haven't started packing on the pounds (still down 5 pounds at 15 weeks), but it is such a relief considering how sick I am, that with good meds I can eat and enjoy food!

@regberadaisy: oh boy.. is it bad if I dont think thats a lot at all?  (and i'm not pregnant)  I think my worse day may be waffle breakfast completely with strawberries and whip cream, slice of bread, 3-4 kit kats, bowl of dumplings, another kit kat, somewhere along the day half a bag of potato chips disappeared, dinner, another 2 kit kats, and soup.

YES! I told DH that sweet and sour chicken makes me hungrier, rather than fuller (we made it for dinner last night, and I wanted PB toast 15 minutes later).

Today was: banana, cheerios with milk and OJ, raisins, peaches, wheat thins, sweet and sour chicken, small bag of cheetos, 2 chocolate chip cookies. And it's only 1pm.

Um YES! I am up 7 pounds after only being up 1 pound last week. I am praying it is water weight, but doubtful as I have been stuffing my face like I never have before. I just ate lunch and I am still hungry. This really sucks! I guess it is time for me to start working out :)

Yes! Some days it seems like I can't get enough food. Actually, it's probably been the whole pregnancy. I gorged on pizza last night and then felt guilty about it later :(

About to go to my job's cafeteria for more food!

Yeah it doesnt sound like a lot too me at all, I for one can never just have 1 slice of bread at a time, I've got to have 2 or 3 minimum.. I snack constantly all day. because if I have a big meal I feel really uncomfortable and my belly hurts a bit.

I wish... I'm still having issues eating ENOUGH and have to remind myself and make myself eat! I'm just not very hungry =/

You'd think at 20 weeks that would've kicked in by now. grrr

@pinkshoes: lol "somewhere along the day a half a bag of chips disappeared" I love that you said they disappeared. I tell myself that too when really i shoved whatever it was in my face. thats where it disappeared to and is probably somewhere on my stomach or hips.

yesterday was football sunday and i was a bit hungover since it was one of my best friends bday's on saturday night. im not pregnant so this probably makes how much i ate yesterday worse :\  I had a mexican sunday breakfast which consisted of carnitas, menudo and tamales. So had a plate of that. Then i had one of those small bags of chips (cheetos to be exact) then for lunch I ate leftover pizza slices from the night before. Finally, just to drive it home that im completely fat, I ordered some fried chicken and rib tips for the game. Oh and regular pop too for good measure. have you ever seen charlotte's web? you know that rat named templeton? the one who rolls around and eats the garbage? thats what i looked like when i was done, I was super sexy all sprawled out on my couch watching the game in my pajamas. I had to wonder what my SO thought of me at that moment....poor guy.

hahahha. Football Sunday is usually the day we allow ourselves to eat really unhealthy. Then the rest of the week is healthy to make up for it. It's only a few months out of the year! :P

Yesterday was chicken/steak fajitas, weeks past there has bene homemade pizzas, chili, Puerto Rican food (Ropa Vieja, yellow rice and beans, tostones), Philly Cheese Steaks, Ribs in the smoker, etc.

That's just the main of course, there's always snacks and a big appetizer.

@regberadaisy: see every sunday is football sunday at my house. its a tradition to make a spread with lots of yummies and a few of our neighborhood friends come over and we all just lounge about and yell at the tv for a few hours. there is always a ton of eating done on sundays. its ridiculous. Add to that that i drank the night before and its a recipe for disaster. I have been making myself work extra hard during my runs at night but im basically ruining all my effort with my eating. I just love food!!! its horrible! in my family, we eat for everything, we celebrate by eating, we mourn by eating, when we visit we eat\drink, any and all events of any kind involve lots of food. so while im not gaining weight im most definitely not losing any either. my workouts are a total wash. well not a total one since im at least keeping at my weight and not adding to it but even so thats a bunch of crap! i really need to get some self control.

That just doesn't sound like that much food to me. Today I had a bowl of Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes, and this afternoon th ebaby insisted on having McDonalds for lunch!!!! I haven't been to McDonalds in years, I have no idea what came over me. I haven't been liking food for weeks though, so at least I ate something.

@redgerba - LOL I have been eating like this....usually more actually....since about 5 weeks.  My insatiable hunger has died a little (not that you can tell from what I have eaten today...forgot that I also ate 2 rolls with my lunch...).  And yes, I heart twix bars.  My sweet tooth has officially returned (had NO sweet tooth for the 10+ years I was on BCP)!

Time to add 3 "Lemonade" cookies to the list. *shakes fist at Girl Scouts everywhere*

But I did take a 25 minute walk at 1pm so at least I got a little exercise. And I'm going to the gym after work. Before I eat my weight in dinner.

I'm not really a fan of eating, so I'll eat a small snack and dinner...so being pregnant is a HUGE adjustment! Yesterday I ate a pretty big breakfast and I started feeling dizzy around 6pm and had no idea why and it lead me to eating something while eating dinner! That is totally new to me! So far today I ate...

scrambled eggs, bagel w/ cream cheese, grapes, yogurt, cereal, and an orange. For dinner I'm cooking a pot roast with carrots, but I'll probably have to eat something before that.

Honestly, all I do is eat and sleep!

I'm only 5 weeks but I am getting so hungry reading what everyone has eaten today!  I've had a bowl of oatmeal with added walnuts and a glass of V8 fruit juice, an egg salad sandwich, and half of a green pepper.  I ate a lot more every day last week but I have a feeling after reading this the snacking is about to go right back up.  That and some mini Kit Kats have been staring at me for like an hour.

I'm going to try to walk with my husband when he gets home but fatigue has really hit me hard today.

HAHA!  but I dont want to think about that!!  Its just not safe for me to keep junk food around.  I stocked up on.. A LOT (to the tune of 9 bags cause it was buy 1 get 2 free) to have around when people come over and stuff since they last a few months, but what I'm finding is that I just end up eatting it all myself!

@regberadaisy:  Since it was football Sunday, and since the Pats were playing in a BIG game, I allowed myself chicken fingers, french fries, and jalepeno poppers!!

Today I haven't eaten much because I am not feeling great.  A couple of fiber one english muffins and a grilled cheese.  About to make dinner which will be teryaki chicken and veggies.  Also, going to make pumpkin chocholate chip muffins tonight, and am sure that I will have at least two of those:)

@Goldilocks1107: and @regberadaisy:  Wait, what?!?!  Is it Girl Scout season already?  I must live in the worst city ever.  I have not seen a Girl Scout cookie since February, except for the one sad box of Peanut Butter Patties that has been sitting in my fridge since then (I am desperately trying to save it for a "special occassion"--meaning when I REALLLLY can't wait any longer).   Of course reading about your lemonade cookies (I don't even know what those are but you're making me hungry) and samoas has really started to strip away at my willpower.  Where are you, Girl Scouts?!?

    CARBS!!!

I can eat bread by the truckload, but for the most part the "must consume all food" feeling has not hit me even remotely at 31 weeks. I'm just not hungry like I expected I would be.

My husband has been calling me the worst preggo ever.

Omg today...all I can think about is food. I just want to sit around and shovel food into my mouth. My FI and I were talking about how there should be some kind of pregnancy restaurant where they serve anything and everything all at once.

All I do now is eat - or think about eating!   After not having an appetite the first few weeks (no sickness, just no appetite), it has come back with a vengeance now at almost 9 weeks.   I *may* have made blueberry muffins yesterday and *may* have eaten five of them.

I also *may* have just come home from a swimming workout and eaten three gigantic bowls of Rice Krispies - don't ask me why, but I've had the biggest craving for them this week.

On the plus side, I am going home for Thanksgiving next week and am so excited to indulge in all of the American food I've been missing!!!  Two whole weeks at home - I'm quite sure I'll return to Australia about 5 kg heavier than I am now!

I didn't eat a ton today (toast, wonton soup, veggie sub) ... but tonight I couldn't help myself and made a batch of dinner rolls with honey butter that I am snacking on ... nothing is better than fresh baked rolls ... but I should put them away soon (2 have already dissappeared).

@Ms Mini:Oh, yay! So glad you can finally eat!

@Marriedandlovingit::P It's time for me and hubby to start working out, too! I told him "after Thanksgiving" we can join a gym, because until then I need the time to study.  We both need the gym. I used to have tons of muscle tone, and he's been gaining. Also, I think my heart and blood pressue miss working out! :P Finally feel not-sick enough to go to the gym. We used to run together 2-3x/week! (only like 6 weeks ago!)

@Ree723:Me tooo, I can't wait for pumpkin pie and turkey dressing! (My two absolute favorite T-day items).

I'm in denial about the extra food.

Like, I have this voice in my head saying that I wouldn't normally snack before dinner.....but then another voice comes in and says, 'well, DH is snacking before dinner too, so it's totally within the range of normal'.  And I try not to notice that I eat more than him for dinner every night.

A couple years ago, a gal at my work (while pregnant) told me that since she gets home before her DH, she would make and eat a dinner.  And then she'd eat the regular dinner with her DH too, but not tell him about dinner number one.

My extra food today already:  after my usual breakfast of yogurt, decaf latte, and toast, I have managed to stop by Starbuck and I got a cinnamon bun.  (Promise that my lunch is healthy!)

I used to have multiple of each meals when I was preggo. Like I'd wake up, eat a bowl of cereal (breakfast #1) and then hubby and I would go out to breakfast (breakfast #2) and then I'd have a granola bar for a snack or a smoothie or something (breakfast #3).

    It was pretty embarrassing.
