SimTeam:  hum sounds like you just need a good ol’ all inclusive resort. As for price, just call up a travel agent and get some quotes…

$2k including airfare or not? What part of the country will you be flying from?

I concur with what a PP said. Look up all inclusive resorts in the areas you want to go to. They include food, drinks, and usually airfare (on top of the usual hotel stuff).

SimTeam:  the outer banks are very relaxing and peaceful. You could even drive there from where you are.

We just spent a wonerful honeymoon in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. We stayed at Picara Pearl Villa & Suites Magens Bay. It’s close to Magens Bay Beach, which is a Top 10 beach. The water is so clear, it seemed unreal. It was quiet and romantic at the villa and absolutely gorgeous! The suite had everything we needed including a kitchen. We cooked a few meals to save money, but we also went to a few of the restaurants. The food was delicious! There’s lots to do too. We went to Coral World Ocean Park and did the Sea Trek (walking underwater and observing the marine life), which was so much fun! We also did a sunset dinner cruise and also toured the island. We purchased our excursions through the Picara Pearl website as well as our airline tickets. We really didn’t want to leave. We stayed 7 days but could have used a few more.   I looked on their website again, and it looks like they have some new specials for next year. So, you could probably save some money. We can’t wait to go back!
