Not sure I'd call it a stunt ring but I just got a plain palladium band to wear when we travel or may get roughed up and dirty. My wedding band is going to be 3/4 eternity which I would NOT want to lose for anything.
I need a stunt ring and quickly! I was going to go with something completely different, but I don't really feel like spending a lot of money. I'm going to raid my jewelery box and see if I can find something that works for our Mexico trip, but I still want a pretty stunt ring for regular use :)
(And I absolutely loved our meetup Yrret!!! So fun!)
I don't have any pics, but I think that's a really cool idea. My friend used to order "look alike" jewelry from this site, they have some pretty fake ones!
This is different from mine, but I like it:

@Blueshoes - that would be pretty to have just for fun, stunt ring or no!
Blueshoes- those are perfect stunt rings! I found several that I like :)
I think I'm going to go with one of their cocktail rings!
You girls have to do this. I think it is so cool that I'm going ring shopping. So many pretty rings.
I sure do! I never travel with my real e-ring. I have a costume ring that closely resembles my real baby. I use the fake when I travel, go to the beach, AND go to work ( if you saw what I have to touch, you would too!)
I seriously want one of these now, lol thanks for the idea yrret! They have one just like my ring, same size and setting for $15

Funny enough, but Walmart usually has some cute, cheap rings for about $10, sparkly and fake as can be!
I have a stand in wedding ring. I wear it when I'm using my hands doing something that could potentially ruin my real ring which has pave set diamonds. (I had a rough year with my engagement ring so I am paranoid.) So for example I wore it kayaking or hiking on the honeymoon but for lounging by the pool I wore my real ring. And now I wear the stand in to work.
Also for a time during my engagement when my real ring was in pieces, I bought myself a sapphire ring to stand in. I though about just getting a cheap look-alike but felt after all my emotional trauma I deserved a nice stand in. :)
Heres pics of similar rings to mine:

I have one! A good place to order is inspiredsilver.com.
I just ordered this (from Etsy seller esdesigns) as my stunt-double.
Commercial rings weren't even an option for me since I have freakishly small fingers (3.75) and most rings only come in sizes 5 and up. So glad Etsy is around!
I got a travel ring specially made because I'll be traveling for a few years. All the cz rings I found didn't come in half sizes, and I'm a 5.5. Five is too small and six is too large. So I had to eliminate all the great costume jewelry out there. I ended up finding a white sapphire ring at zales for 30 bucks. The setting was a gigantic halo in sterling and I thought it was too bulky. I got it reset in yellow gold so I don't have to worry about rhodium plating.
It's a little big 8 mm, so maybe I'll get mugged :)
My mom has a "stunt ring" that she wears when she travels and she gets so many compliments on it. It was a $10 ring!!!
Yes, I got a 2 ct Tacori CZ set for about $50 on overstock.com! I get nervous traveling with my real wedding/e-ring so it makes for a fun substitute.
Never heard of these before, either! I've been wearing my sapphire e-ring for the past 7 years without considering a "substitute". Even wore it to our trip to the San Diego ComicCon last year.
Hmmmmm.... I'd probably go along with that idea, provided my FI gave the substitute to me, lol. It wouldn't be as special or meaningful, otherwise.
I have one! It looks almost exactly like my real ring, just a carat or two bigger! I got it on Overstock.com and it was super cheap and I love it! I just like to have a fake ring for when I go to the beach!
My "stunt ring" was $9 on eBay and isn't much like my e-ring, but actually pairs a bit better with my wedding band than my real ring does. I got it so I didn't have to worry about losing my real one or damaging it on the beach/in the ocean on my honeymoon. In retrospect, I don't think it was necessary, but it'll be fun to have for a different look now and then.
@LittleAudrey: I *love* how you created your own "stunt" ring. I mean, I really love what you did with that ring! Is the original ring you bought from Zales still on their website? I know you said it had a halo setting and was in sterling silver. I'm wondering if I can use the white sapphire stone like you did and reset it into something else. Please let me know if you see it on the website! Thanks SO much!
i just saw this post and thought it was such a good idea that i just bought myself one! we are doing a cross-country road trip hitting up a lot of the national parks for our honeymoon, so i didnt want a big bulky ring. we love hiking and camping in general so its nice to not have to worry about my ring all the time! great idea ladies!
here is my real e-ring and here is my simple 'stunt ring'

FutureMrsWoods- Thanks! Sometimes I worry that it's too ginormous to wear while traveling, but it's so pretty :) I checked out their website and sadly all the rings are gone. I did find this pear white sapphire cluster ring though: http://www.zales.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2943366
One thing to keep in mind was that my stunt ring was kind of pricey because I had it set in yellow gold a!h (the jeweler said it would be more sturdy than silver) My fiance can't know how much I spent. But seriously, if you check out the clearance rings at Zales online or even just walk in from time to time and ask if they have any white sapphire, they probably will- then find a good jeweler or even consider melting down some old gold jewelery to lower the price. Oh, also etsy has some cute white sapphire rings too: http://www.etsy.com/listing/47076878/genuine-4mm-diamond-faceted-white?ref=sr_gallery_29&;ga_search_query=%26quot;white+sapphire%26quot;+ring&;ga_search_type=handmade&;ga_page=&;order=&;includes[0]=tags&;includes[1]=title
I call it my "vacation ring" - it was actually the stand in we purchased for $25 after we picked out "the ring" so I'd have something to wear for 4 weeks until it came in.
I wear it when I go on vacation. I don't think I'll get a vacation band though. I'll either wear my real band with the vacation ring, or just the vacation ring when we go on our honeymoon.
Another place to look is www.evesaddiction.com because you can get sterling silver, which can help with allergies/sensitivity.
I have a stirling silver ring that I wear when I'm in a situation where I don't want to have my diamond around - camping, skiing, travelling. I paid $25 for it on etsy.
How about HSN or QVC? They have some nice diamonique/absolute stuff and it is real gold.

At our weddingbee meet up yesterday, some of the girls were talking about stunt rings. I have never heard of a stunt ring until last night.
I never realized people did this. What it is, is a fake ring that you wear for your honeymoon. Just in case you lose it.
Well, now I"m obsessed with finding the perfect stunt ring. I thought maybe I should get one that I really like, that is different from mine. But now, I'm thinking about getting one that is almost identical or pretty similar to mine now. I need to get one that is gold because I have sensitive skin but looking for cz stone. I even considered getting a colored stone.. hmmm... lot's to think about. I need to decide before I go on my honeymoon in April.
Any of you bees, have one?
Show me some pics if you got them.
