I took my rings in to be resized and asked specifically whether the markings inside my ring will be damaged or will they be restamped. I was told they will either restamp or resize around the marking.
I didnt even think to check the inside of the ring when i picked it up, just made sure my diamonds were still diamonds and hadnt been switched.
I have just taken them off to help another bee with their post and relised neither of my ring have marking anymore. Nothing to state what carat they nothing.
I am so annoyed.
Should i go into the store and speak to them about it?

The only thing stamped on mine are the type of gold the ring is and the designer, nothing about the diamond. i wouldn’t think that would be normal, that’s why you have the certification.
If it really bugs you then take it back. What was the stamp before?

@MsJ2theZ: it had the 18k gold stamp and the makers marks. Its not what was marked its the fact i was told after i specifically asked that the markings would not be removed

Definitely call and see what they can/will do. They didn’t tell you the truth, so that is a complaint. However, they may not be able to do anything about it now.
My ring had to be resized from a 6.75 to a 5, so I lost the markings as well. I didn’t really mind, but I wasn’t told they would remain.

My marks (and diamond size) were all stamped back into my ring when it was resized. I’d be ticked if you were told they would be!

I had a ring sized down to a 4 and the markings are gone now. I didn’t ask about them beforehand but since you did- you absolutely should take the ring back and complain!!

@ChocolateLime: Haha! Someone like me!!! I asked the exact same thing when I took my ring to be resized. I was like … will they size around the “plat” or restamp it? And they did. I absolutely would take those rings back and explain that they did not do what they promised and have them fix it!
