Stupid Program Question

posted 7 months ago in Beehive

I'm having a brain fart and need your help, hive!

I'm putting together my program and I'm at the point where I'm listing the wedding party. What order do I list my bridesmaids? Do I list them as they will stand with me (MOH, BM1, BM2, BM3) or as they will walk in (BM3, BM2, BM1, MOH)?

I think I've thought about it for so long that I've confused myself! Thanks in advance for the help!

I did MOH first, then bridesmaids after.

I really don't think you need to list the bridesmaids as they will walk in.  Just be sure to put the moh first, and then you can just list the rest!

Okay, so it should probably be listed as they are standing at the alter, yes?

You're supposed to list names alphabetically.

Just wondering, if I list them alphabetically, my MOH would come in the middle so it would look like

 BM

BM

MOH

BM

I've always seen the MOH listed first? Or are you saiying, the BM's listed as such with out the MOH, sorry to be so goofy - just checking before I do mine. ;-)

I'm thinking she meant the BM's alphabetically after the MOH. So MOH, BM (a), BM (b), BM (c). =)

Although, I can also vouch for the nicety of having them listed in the order they walk in, so you can figure out who's who as they walk in. In the order they're standing at the alter works, too. I wouldn't suggest alphabetically, because from a guest's standpoint (this happened to me once at a wedding where I didn't know too many of the wedding party) I had the worst time trying to figure out who was who when the program listed them alphabetically. This became a problem when I wanted to, say, strike up a conversation with and congratulate the sister, but I had no idea which one she was :)
