@ZebraPrintMe:  Hm, any chance you could play it off as an auto-Facebook thing? I get invites for Candy Crush/what-have-you all the time from people I haven’t talked to in years who I can’t imagine consciously invited me.

As far as doing something stupid on the internet, I was having an email conversation about Harry Potter with a coworker at a temp job I had in college. Accidentally sent an email to my supervisor instead. Not only did I make it painfully clear I wasn’t exactly working hard, I also spoiled Dumbledore’s death for her. Whoops.

@ZebraPrintMe:  blame it on spam and your email being hacked! Maybe write a generic email (starting with something like “Hi All” so it appears to go to multiple people) and apologize for any spam emails they may have gotten over the weekend.

Don’t even worry about it. Back when cell phones were new and before there were flip phones, I took a call on mine. It was a colleague calling around to make sure everyone was “on the ready” for snow emergency plans. We were having a blizzard. So I took the call, ended it, put the phone under the pillow and it WAS SNOWING and all… We had a fire lit… Brandy… Things took place. Apparently, I’d hit redial or something? At any rate, the entire episode was heard and it was a long call so he listened to the whooooole thing, “Who’s your Daddy and all…” Feel better about the ponies? LOL!! Really, they’ll forget all about it soon.

@Magdalena:  He claimed he thought I was in some sort of trouble and it took him a while to figure out I wasn’t. Just the way he would smile at me every time he saw me after that!! Drove me insane. Dirty old man.

I would so much have rather had your incident happen to me. When FI and I first started dating, a group of my girlfriends from high school and I all went out to dinner. While we were catching up, they asked about FI’s ex FI. I brought up her facebook profile and handed my phone to one of the girls and she accidentally ‘poked’ the girl from my facebook account.

Yep. SO my FI’s ex had a notification about his new girlfried poking her. That was fun.
